Competition: RM - Open-ended Fiction Sept '16

Finished
RM - Open-ended Fiction Sept '16

Going through the inventory reports, the rollmaster has found that a good number of valuable crates are missing from the Essadan warehouse. He’s tasked you with finding out what happened to them, and if necessary, re-acquiring them.

This is an open ended fiction event. You can take the prompt in whichever direction you choose. Did one person steal the crates, or is this the work of a wider, more organised syndicate? Perhaps it was just a typo, but the clerk responsible has gone missing? Perhaps it’s a wild goose chase because Corvus wants you out of the way for his evil plans...

This is an exercise in developing an original storyline and an interesting plot is strongly encouraged. Write a fiction of minimum 500 words, no maximum. Submit a .pdf, .doc, .docx, .txt or other word processing file extension through the site. Links won’t be accepted. Judging will be done with the Fiction Rubric.

Requirement is only that the stolen crates have to be involved in some way. There are no other restrictions on plot.
