Competition: A message from the future

During a routine patrol of Kiast system, one of the members of Clan Odan-Urr have picked up strong tachyon disturbance. He or she have approached the area of disturbance and recorded a strange message. "To everyone in Nilgaard Sector! They're getting through! They're getting through! We are terribly outnumbered! May the Force be with us all!" It comes exactly from the year ahead and the voice recognition system has confirmed that it is your voice.

A year has passed since this moment. In minimum 500 words describe what events are taking place. The entries will be graded in accordance to the VOICE fiction grading rubric.
