Specifics

This is an official competition developed by Syrus Korodin for the purpose of DJK Trials. Eight specific people will be allowed to post, no more, no less. All others must be quiet spectators or unholy flames shall consume them.

  Storyline:

  Syrus Korodin is a multi-millionaire whose fortune is rumored to be in excess of four hundred million galactic credits. He owns stock in many of the leading galactic companies and is co owner of at least three. One quarter of his wealth is situated in his estate on Iridonia, with the building itself being worth forty million credits. The other sixty is held in the incredibly valuable collection of texts, holocrons, and artifacts that reside in the library section of the Estate. 

  The entire estate has now been put in danger, and the many dark side artifacts are in jeopardy. This cannot be allowed.

        The Governor of the specific province of Iridonia has allowed a group of government employees and Jedi to search the building for anything they may consider “dangerous”. The structure itself is paid for, but Syrus has not been there for thirty years. Seeing no one object, the Governor sees a profit to be made. For the government, anything shiny is “dangerous”. For the Jedi, anything that looks reminiscent of a dark artifact is “dangerous”. This situation must be resolved immediately.

  Eight members of Clan Plagueis have been assembled by Korodin and his Master, Lucien, to fly a group of shuttles to Iridonia and get whatever they can out of the estate before it is plundered. The eight are to be pitted against a corrupt governor, multiple Jedi of all sorts, and the booby-trapped dungeon that Syrus’ estate has become since he left it all those years ago. Let the games begin!

This is the set of rules:

1. This is a run-on competition for members of Clan Plagueis only. It will last until an undisclosed set post count is met, and then the awards shall be…awarded.

2. There is to be no strict postorder, but a few rules about that must be articulated. First, no one shall post twice in a row. That is obnoxious. I will post twice in a row for the purpose of articulating the storyline, but I’m special. Second, if you are part of the postorder and you do not post within eight days of the beginning of the competition you shall be disqualified (unless you speak to me) and your chances of winning an award nullified. So, fellas, just post two or three times and we’ll all be happy.

3. Post length is to be no less than ¾ of a page 12-point font TNR and no more than four pages 12-point font TNR. If it has to be longer than consult me and we’ll work something out.

4. Posts will be edited to make sure there are no glaring errors and so that the storyline is adhered to.

5. Quality over quantity. If someone posts eight times it doesn’t necessarily mean they get a shiny. I’ve seen people post twice (excellent posts) and others post ten times (drivel) and the guy who posts twice usually gets the shiny. So, in other words, I will not accept horrid posts with atrocious grammar and no bearing at all with the storyline.

6. If you really care to be prepared for anything that pops up, read Syrus’ history (5055). I will post here and there to add to the storyline so be prepared.

7. Do not butcher your teammates in your posts unless they allow you. I don’t want anybody complaining that they got thrown off a cliff without their consent.

8. The top three posters will get medals. Be wary that the posts shall be judged for many things including language, quality, and consistency. Quality over quantity, my friends.

9. The run-on competition will be located on the Dark Jedi Brotherhood Forum, where you will have to post when it is your turn. For the rest, the official run-on rules need to be followed by the participants.
