Competition: [Excidium] Not the Blue Milk!

Finished
[Excidium] Not the Blue Milk!

Design or discover a fun Star Wars themed recipe. It could be as easy as Blue Milk, or anything you can think of! Alara will try out each recipe and will make a video of doing so. The best tasting and most creative recipe will win! If you are using a recipe you have not created, please provide the source upon entry.

Grading will be based on creativity, taste, overall composition and their requirements, as well as hilarity. Avoid breaking the bank on Alara though, okay?

Mynock Wings

Ingredients:

20 chicken wings

ΒΌ cup soy sauce

3 tablespoons fresh lime juice

1 teaspoon sesame oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup flour

1-1/2 teaspoons paprika

1 teaspoon salt

Dash of pepper

Oil for frying

Instructions:

In a plastic freezer bag, place the chicken wings, soy sauce, lime juice, sesame oil, and garlic. Marinate in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours.

Heat oil in a deep-fryer or skillet to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a dish whisk the flour, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Remove the chicken from the marinade, discarding the remaining marinade. Dredge in the flour mixture, and fry until golden brown and cooked through, approximately 10 minutes.

Let drain on a wire rack. Serve immediately. And rest easy knowing your power cables are safe.

http://www.sugarswings.com/2014/05/star-wars-bundt-cake-happy-may-4th-be.html

Start by baking a tinted green boxed cake in a jelly roll pan. Once cooled, cut out the shape (in this case Yoda heads) from the cake with the cutter.
And you get a bunch of Yoda heads.
Next, mix up another boxed cake mix (or your fav homemade cake recipe). I used chocolate, because the official Star Wars cake flavor is chocolate. Well maybe not but it should be. Add a little of the cake batter to the bottom of a greased bundt cake. Then add your cut out shapes (upside down so when you flip the bundt over, the shapes will be right side up). Try to keep them as close together as possible. Then cover with the rest of the cake batter.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 mins.
Once cooled I iced with this icing and added some star sprinkles and blue tinted non-pareils, which were cool, but I thought it needed something else. So I made some tiny light saber sprinkles.

They are made from blue, red, and gray candy melt. (You could also use royal icing too). Just pipe small lines with each color, and add some more black or red dots with candy melt as accents. Once the candy hardens, sprinkle these on top while the icing is still wet.
