Competition: Waiting is the Worst Part

As the Clans prepare for war and all the destruction, strife and loss of life that comes along with it, a sudden hold has been called at the eleventh hour.

Have those in power informed you of why the call to arms has been delayed, why the attacks have been put on pause? How do you deal with the mounting excitement, dread, adrenaline and possible fear and exhilarations that have suddenly become indecision and waiting?

In a minimum of 500 words, no maximum, tell the story of how your character(s) is dealing with all of this.
