During our travels and adventures we face off against scum and villain alike, daring battlefields and dodging blaster bolts like the total badasses that we are. However, sometimes danger comes from the very land we stand on, or the viles of the local flora that wish to make too close acquaintances.

Write a story of 500 words or more, detailing an encounter your character had with an environmental hazard. Examples include lava rivers, carnivorous plants, sand pits, blizzards and the like. Animals can be included, but should not constitute the main threat.

Survival is optional.

Grading follows Voice Fiction Rubric 2.0 and valid submissions are accepted in .pdf, .doc or .docx formats.
