Competition: [MoA Week 1] Aliso NPCs (Lore Development)

Finished
[MoA Week 1] Aliso NPCs (Lore Development)

Plagueis interacts with multiple non-Force sensitives and citizens of Aliso. Everyone from businessmen to laborers to politicians to merchants is integral to the frontier city operating smoothly. Therefore, it is important that Plagueian members are made aware of important figures in Aliso culture and politics to solidify the clan’s power over trade, military operations, and infrastructure.

Task

  • Members will be tasked with creating a Non-Player Character (NPC) that resides in Aliso. This character would have the potential to be featured in official fiction and Plagueis canon.

  • Using your preferred application of choice, (Microsoft Word, etc.) or the submission box, create an NPC Character Sheet.

  • Completed characters will feature up to six (6) unique traits (Aspects) and should detail their specialisations (Discipline, Skills, Feats) and any other backstory or history you feel like adding. Resources

  • C-D4WG - Character Sheet Reference — Allows you to view all the information on Aspects, Skills, Feats, and more.

  • You can use any of the pre-written Aspects here if you’re not comfortable creating Custom ones.

  • Character Sheet Sandbox - Enables you to experiment with builds/skills. You can take a screenshot and attach the build, or transcribe for your submission. You can find it on your admin page at the bottom of the "Character Sheet Administration" page.

Rules

  • Created NPCs will be Non-Force Users.

  • Created NPCs can be any rank up to Equite 4.

  • Created NPCs should include as much detail as possible while following and adhering to the Character Sheet Guide and Approval Guidelines.

  • Participants can optionally link an original or reference character image, just credit your source when doing so. Avatar creation tools can be helpful.

Grading

  • Entries will be graded on completion, syntax, originality, and the quality of the writing used to create an exciting and well thought-out character.

  • Characters that get selected to be added will have a wiki presence under the Allies of Plagueis Category.

  • Qualifying NPCs that are added to the wiki have the potential to be used in the future.

Yarlow Merkodine
Weequay
Arms Dealer

Profit Driven
Yarlow Merkodine has a single-track mind for his business and his money. If the task doesn't contribute to his retirement fund, he won't do it.

Quick to Abandon
Having seen his fair share of plans and plots going south, Yarlow Merkodine is one of the first ones you'll see running for the door. Not one to stick his neck out for anyone, Yarlow will jump ship first, doing what it takes to save his own skin.

Pacifist
He tries not to get into fights if he doesn't have to.

The Finer Things In Life (Pre-Written Aspect)
The character would much rather be behind a hand of good sabacc cards or a rare vintage of aged liquor than with his blasters or ship. More often than not, he will spend nights at high-end establishments gambling, drinking and "socializing". The character can survive without the finer things, but he sure would rather not. This preference follows him onto the job, so it is not uncommon for The character to insult a client or potential partner by commenting on their choice of beverage or recreation.

Due Diligence (Pre-Written Aspect)
When The character does things, he makes sure everything is done correctly, no matter how long it takes. This means there are frequent delays in The character's work, but it's usually done right, at least.

Think Through Your Exits (Pre-Written Aspect)
The character doesn't do anything without first having a plan, and is constantly overheard advising others to always “think through their exits”. Every movement he makes--be it combative, manipulative or otherwise--is premeditated and thought out ahead of time. This foresight often places The character two steps ahead of his peers. However, when plans go awry, The character often has to first backtrack those same two steps to address the present, and that hesitation can often be line between success and failure in the heat of a situation.
