A man walks up to the mic and clears his throat, "Hello and welcome to the Second Annual Cross Clan Speed Dating Event. This is part of a temporary ceasefire agreed to by the heads of each clan." He nervously shifted in his position, the cameras and lights on him with the many more eyes as well. Suddenly another man walked onto the stage and put a hand on him to move him off the stage while they took the mic away. “Go have a drink, I’ve got this covered.” The man turns to the crowd. “Hey folks, Ethan Martes here. Rules are simple and easy. Also, we installed panic buttons on the underside of the tables. Have fun.”

Rules:

1.) No killing or seriously harming your partner.

2.) You have until the bell rings, once it rings those with a red ticket get up and move to the next seat.

3.) Be kind and courteous, no one likes a scorned lover.

4.) No weapons (Unless specifically non-lethal for self-protection.)

5.) No Force powers unless both parties are consenting adults.

6.) If a fight occurs, both parties will be thrown to the training room down the hall to settle differences. Once again, non-lethal.

Instructions: Find a partner/co-writer either within your clan or from another clan. The two of you are to submit a fiction that will be graded with the Fiction Rubric. If both of you subscribed, both please submit to ensure that everyone gets the Clusters of Ice and chance at placement. Please remember that this is in good fun, so do keep it in taste.

Note: If you are unable or unwilling to have a partner/co-writer, you can solo write using one of your characters and/or NPCs. The purpose is to have fun.

• Entries must be a minimum of 500 words. Any entries that are under 500 words will be marked as Disqualified. If co-writing/co-oping with another please make sure both parties write at least 500 words. Please designate who wrote what for each section (i.e. Ethan wrote part 1, Petth wrote part 2). Each participant is responsible for making sure they reach the 500 word minimum.

• There is no maximum word cap.

• Your story should be centered on your Main or Alternative character. Slotted NPCs, Wikipedia NPCs, or other characters that you create or invent to tell your story are not only allowed, but encouraged.
