This is a poetry competition and you will be asked to write an English (Shakespearean) Sonnet. The Sonnet should be about your Clan or House. Please keep the storyline within the confines of the Star Wars Universe.

Your Sonnet can describe the way your character feels about his or her Clan/House, you can write about your adventures, you can even express your interests or talents. These are just examples of some of the things you might consider including in your Sonnet.

If you need a refresher on Poetry please refer to the Shadow Academy course on Poetry for the English Sonnet format. I will be judging on adhearance to the English Sonnet format and how inspiring your Sonnet is. Second level Crescents will be awarded for the top three finishers per VOICE guidelines.

From the darkness creeping silently
Towards what end he sneaks
Ready to strike against those mightily
Soft words, hushed tones he speaks
A beast of no land
Evermore to be hexed
His destination not planned
All those who knew him remain perplexed
Cast out from his home
Turned his back on what he knew
Always looking for a tome
Those he once called friends he slew
To what end he finds himself now
To the ends of the galaxy he will bow

Naga Sadow where have you gone?
Lost is our visage of home,
Now in space relying more on braun,
Yet, I still study a Sith tome;

Flying my T-70 is such a thrill,
Fighting the Collective for air superiority,
Piracy and hunting we do still,
By our Consul Bentre’s authority;

But yet thoughts of Sepros still pervade,
I lay dreaming of the day,
I hope that soon we will have aid,
And have our home, come what may;

Soon Naga Sadow we shall prevail,
And leave the Collective bound to flail.

Ode to the Taldryan
A Sonnet by Kooki

My green Taldryan, you inspire me to write.
How I love the way you fight and duel,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the scary dual.

Let me compare you to a contender?
You are more drastic and traditional
Clean frost nips the robins of December,
And wintertime has the depositional.

How do I love you? Let me count the ways.
I love your keen prowess and unity.
How your personality fills my days!
My love for you is the Brotherhood community.

Now I must away with a plastic heart,
Remember my lean words whilst we're apart.

Shadow springing across the whitened floor
A silent quest to break the darkened hold
Apart? Alone? A known face at the door
In company, we move as one quite bold

A gentle touch, a past bleak, blue hair’d hug
Firm, stout, by the book, by feather’d friend led
Old, well known, panda loved? Turel, no bug
How could we forget, drunken Ethan’s bed

Of Hoth, of Shan, all for one, to the light
Many faces in the room got your back
One does not doubt the coming of a fight
Hold. Give not a singular crack!

Many ways to end the day; cookies, food
Rely on us to make a fine, sweet mood
