Hallowe’en. A time of revelry and delight celebrated ‘round the galaxy, from Endor to Coruscant, as well as a night of spooky fright, a cycle of power for witches, magik, and the long-forgotten spirits of the dead. Many of the more superstitious folk of the galaxy hold that wearing a costume as your sun sets on Hallowe’en acts as a sort of charm, a disguise against the forces of the dark; by masquerading as creepy creature of the night, one supposedly spares themselves from the attention of the nether realm. All a load of hokey hogwash, of course… though, perhaps it would be wise to play along. Not that you’re scared… but why take any chances?

It’s time to get spooky.

Draw your main or alternate character in the Star Wars equivalent of a classic Halloween costume; witches, werewolves, mummies, vampires; all are fair game. Be creative; and be scary. ‘Tis the season, afterall.

Submissions and Scoring:

-Entries will only be accepted in the following formats: .jpg, .png, .gif

-Scoring will be done in accordance to the Herald Grading Rubric, with Adherence to Theme adjusted to 30% of the grade, while Technique will be reduced to 30%.

Conditions:

-Please include a short, in-character description/explanation of your character’s costume, and why they chose it; note that this is not part of the grading, and only serves as clarification and flavoring

-Much like our real Halloween, only costumes that have had effort and soul put in shall receive candy. Please, no stick-figures.

-No TPing of trees, egging of households, or stealing of decorations shall be tolerated. Please only take one candy from the bowl at a time.
