Competition: Campfire Stories From Kiast

Every civilization has its ghost stories, and the peoples of the Kiast System are no different. Do the Quorahi tell tales of monstrous shapes lurking in the toxic clouds beneath their cities? Do the Vatali still speak of the murdered heir that haunts the Empress' palatial halls, seeking justice?

You tell me. Just make it scare me.

** In 500 words or more, write a ghost story set in the Kiast system. It can be a urban legend or an ancient folk tale, but the key element is that it be scary!

** Grading will be done using the Standard Fiction Rubric, with all who place in the top three receiving appropriate Crescents.
