Competition: Making Faces (Graphics)

Create and submit a piece of artwork depicting one of your housemates’ characters. The image should clearly show their face from at least one angle. The image should reflect the character’s current physical description and/or existing artwork of the character.

• You may use whichever medium you like, including but not limited to: drawing, painting, digital art, photomanipulation, rendering, or sculpture.
• You may not depict one of your own characters. You may depict any main, alternate, or NPC character with a character sheet listed on any other member of Sunrider’s dossier.
• You are required to include the character’s name in the filename and/or submission box.
• You are required to include links to any reference pictures, textures, etc. you used. You are allowed to use any resources that are properly listed, but plagiarism will be disqualified and reported to the Chamber of Justice.
• Submissions may be a .png, .gif, or .jpg file.
• Submissions generated through a doll maker, meme generator, or other software that does the heavy lifting are allowed for participation but will likely score very poorly in the “Visual effort” category on the rubric. You must credit these in the submission box as stated above.

Entries will be graded according to the Herald Graphics Grading Rubric.

This competition is in the Graphics Bin. Participating in a competition in this bin for the first time awards 3 points from participation. Charting the Way is also in this bin. This competition is worth a relatively high proportion of placement points. Cumulatively, the placements in this competition are worth 15% of placement points.
