Competition: [COU-PLA Phase 2] Fiction - Duel of the Fates

Odan-Urr and Plagueis have finally crossed paths, their destinies intertwined as they both fight for the sole possession of The Desired One. Times are hectic and both clans are racing against the clock. On the front lines, you have finally made contact with a member of the opposing Clan and the only option left is a fight. The fate of the mission hangs in the balance. You are to pick one member from the opposing Clan to fight against in your quest to acquire The Desired One.

Write a fiction about a combat skirmish with a member of the opposing Clan. Who did your character fight? What happened during that fight? What was the end result?

Rules

• A minimum of 500 words is required, outlining a combat skirmish with a member from the opposing Clan.
  
• Tell us which specific Odanite or Plagueian you are fighting.
  
• Your story should be centered on your Main or Alternative character. Slotted NPCs, Wikipedia NPCs, or other characters that you create or invent to tell your story are also allowed but encouraged. However, your narrative should focus around either your Main or Alternative character.
  
• A snapshot of your Main or Alternative character loadout must be selected and submitted with your entry through the checkbox submission field.
  
• This competition will award up to 4 bonus Clusters of Ice at a rate of 1 per 500 words, in addition to the normal clusters awarded for fiction competitions.

Grading will be based on the ACC Rubric.

• Pdf format is preferred but will also accept Word docs and .txt
• In the text box or your submission, at the top of the doc, tell us which specific Odanite and Plagueian you are fighting.
  

This competition is in the Phase 2 Fiction Bin. Participating in a competition in this bin for the first time awards 4 points from participation to you and your Clan. Comedic Fiction 2 is also in this bin. Participating in at least one competition in each bin will earn a bonus of 3 points. See the parent competition for detailed rules.

This competition is worth a relatively high proportion of placement points. Cumulatively, the placements in this competition are worth 7% of the feud’s placement points.
