Competition: Book Review - A Professor of Writing task

Choose a novel that you have read recently. Write a review (500 words minimum) of the book. The review should include, at minimum:

• A short summary of the plot
• Things you liked
• Things you didn't like
• Things you learned from the book that you could use in your own writing practice going forwards.

Entries will be judged based on the depth of analysis of the work, and identification of actionable learning points from the book. This competition is really about what you've learned from the source material. Direct quotations of the book may be used, but do not count towards the word count.

If you don't read novels, you may use alternative media like a game or movie, but written material is strongly preferred. Don't worry about spoilers. Submit in .pdf or .doc format.
