Competition: Star Wars Street Art

Graffiti. Crime or Art? In recent years street art has evolved far beyond the common "tagging" of cargo containers or advertisements. Artists like Banksy or Shepard Fairey are household names. Street art often serves to make statements about society at large through a common medium, often spray paints, in public locations.

Across the galaxy all manner of public locations have been tagged by aspiring street artists. Your task is to use the provided symbols and create a piece of Graffiti-like artwork.

Example

You can use any medium you desire; hand-drawn, or digital. You may add an additional backround, or use the provided template, to really give the street art feel.

Rules

• Artwork must be created by you. If it includes pieces or references not completed by you, cite your sources
• Do not self plagarize. If you submitted your entry to a competition previously, make a new one
• See individual comps for additional rules. If you have a question or are unsure of anything, email the competition organizer

Grading

• Each competition will be graded using the Herald Graphics Rubric
• Each competition will award points towards the container; 1st place: 4 points, 2nd place: 3 points, 3rd place: 1 point, every other placement/participant: 1 point.
• Ties for the container will be broken by amount of competitions entered, further broken by amount of highest placements
