Competition: Thanksgiving Day

Finished
Thanksgiving Day

Your character is moving through the streets of an urban world. It is a day of holiday, the equivalent for their culture of thanksgiving.

They come across a small child, glimpsed out the corner of their eye, crawling into an alley. One leg seems to have seized or broken.

In 500 words or more, what happens next? Do you stop to help? Do you walk by, reflecting on the sight before moving on with your day and mission at this cultural event? Do you go to investigate to find yourself jumped by crafty criminals using them as bait? Take the prompt your way!

The competition will be marked using the voice grading rubric. Must submit in either Word or PDF or TXT format. Ensure that either the child or the cultural thanksgiving festival is a key part of the story!
