The Fiction:

As peace returns to Kiast, an uneasy air seems to be settling and breaking as people begin to move forward with their day-to-day lives. The silence and questions of an impending attack, replaced with a sigh of relief and a sense of normalcy.

The Contest:

Write a Haiku focused on relief or peace after a time of tension.

• A Haiku is a poetic form that consists of three lines, with five syllables in the first line, seven in the second, and five in the third.
