The Details

You and your fellow Housemates have arrived at a village in need of assistance. Everywhere around you people bustle, running to-and-fro doing varying tasks. One of the more senior members grabs you by the shoulders and looks you in the eyes telling you that it's gonna be okay. They mention that they know things are hectic and a bit overwhelming, but that you'll get used to it. To help you focus your energy, they direct you to help out at either the nearby station handing out supplies or join in with the Engineering Corps to rebuild homes and other structures.

The Prompt

In at least 500 words, write a fiction detailing how you help complete one of the tasks handed to you from your senior housemate. You have the option to either help out by:
* Handing out needed supplies at a nearby tent-- water, bedding, clothing, first aid supplies, medicine, and MREs (Meals Ready to Eat) * Getting your hands dirty helping clean up rubble and debris, rebuilding a destroyed home, or helping to fix roads/fences/other infrastructure

Instructions

• Entries must meet a minimum of 500 words to be considered for participation
• Entries must be submitted in a .pdf format or textbox entry
• You do not need to use a sheeted character for this entry, unsheeted NPCs are eligible.
• You do not need to submit a snapshot for this competition
• Competitions will be graded using the Voice Grading Rubric and grading breakdowns will be available upon request
