Competition: Herald's Summer 2025!

It's Summertime! Time for beaches, cocktails, sand, and sun. While you enjoy all the happiness summer brings, consider what your characters do during summertime in the Star Wars universe (depending on the planet, of course) and help visualize what their world looks like.

Premise

Each week, from 07/02/2025 until 09/07/2025 we will run a comp that will last two weeks asking you to draw a certain prompt. The prompt will be visible once you subscribe to the comp in question.

Note: We want to maximize the time you have with each competition, but there will always be two overlapping comps at a time.

Rules

Each placement in the sub-competitions will award points toward the overall winner of this event:

• 1st place: 5 points
• 2nd place: 4 points
• 3rd place: 3 points
• 4th place: 2 points
• 5th place: 1 point

Ties will be broken by the Herald based on quality of art across all sub-competitions.

Additionally:

• AI-generated: AI-generated images are not allowed in these competitions
• Photo-manipulation: Remember to provide a link and credit for any image used in your creation
• Useful Tools: Photopea, GIMP, Photoshop, Krita, Paint Tool Sai
• Grading Criteria: (Include how you will grade the competition, e.g. the Herald Graphics Grading Rubric.)

Note: All entries must be original artwork and if any resources are used that are not original must be cited in the submission box.
