Competition: What Remains

Finished
What Remains

An untimely event has cut the life of your character short. The method does not matter, nor the why. What matters for this competition is simple; what remains as their final resting place?

Create an image of where your character's remains will spend eternity.
Are they buried beneath a tree, near a waterfall or some other natural landmark?
Perhaps a gravestone, either alone or among many others? (Writing not mandatory but supported)
Maybe their ashes are kept in an urn? It could be that they are given a warrior's grave, buried somewhere with their signature/favorite weapon as their 'headstone.'

Combinations of these and completely different ideas are acceptable.
Decorations and unique styles encouraged for more characterization.
Be as bright or somber as you wish with colors.

Rules:
-Entries must be submitted in one of the following formats: jpg or png
-Both traditional hand-drawn and digital mediums allowed.
-Lone rudimentary shapes are not allowed and will be disqualified. This is to represent your character, give some details!
-Reminder: AI-generated entries are NOT allowed.

Grading: I will be using the standard Graphics Grade Rubic with a bit of sway towards scenes that feel particularly strongly characterized.

An elaborate urn that has a continuous flame placed in Kora’s favourite viewport on the ship, forever stained by her paints, so that she still gets to see the galaxy after death

Flyndt's people, the Han'duwil which is a nomadic group of Omwati on the steppes of their home, create stone cairns suspended on top of sticks that had been carved with symbols of their life accomplishments. These are then connected to other cairns of relatives, partners, and close friends via lines of small ground cover flowers with each color representing a relationship type. Partners are also joined via a carved stick that records all of their life experiences together

**50 years in the future**

Here lies the final resting place of Kalen Joss. The brown garments in the holocron are actually his fathers Jedi robes, that he had kept and occasionally wore during the final half century of his life. His wife Cora has cleaned them and placed them back in the tree, once a week for the last 8 years since he died. The boards and batons are there because each year at harvest time the fruits grow so large that they need extra support. Legend has it, Cora and their son buried Kalen 6 feet down, and then planted that tree on top.

The resting place of Qor. No name, no offerings, no history. Just a destroyed body, and a mossy Tombstone.
