Competition: The Force on Tap

Oktoberfest being a well loved and visited folk festival has a variety of fun things to do. What does your character do while there?

Are they there for the opening ceremony where the Mayor taps the first keg of beer? Do they place bets on how many taps it takes the Mayor? Do they watch the parade consisting of decorated horse drawn wagons, musical and marching bands, traditional-costume and rifle clubs, and color guard flag-wavers? Is your character there to compete in the annual Steinholding competition? Where competitors hold a filled stein with an outstretched arm for as long as they can. Do they participate in a drinking competition? Ride on the Ferris wheel? See a theatre play? People-watch? Are they there to try exotic food? Maybe they’re workers at Oktoberfest, and serve patrons from all over? Or are they just there simply for a beer?

• Grading will be done using the Voice Fiction Rubric 3.0.
• Tie breaker will be up to grader preference.
• Minimum of 500 words.
• There is no word cap but please don’t make me read 10,000 words.
• Entries must be a PDF document.
• This will not be a CO-OP fiction.
• You may use your own NPCs, non-sheeted characters, and if using another person's character make sure to ask for permission ahead of time.
