The Holo-Net is abuzz with the latest news from around the Galaxy. How could anyone ever hope to keep up? Port Kasiya is no different, with young and hungry reporters constantly attempting to one-up each other with a new hot scoop.

Your task is to write a short fiction from the point-of-view of one of those scrappy reporters, covering some recent event or breaking news in Port Kasiya; you have the freedom to decide what.

Rules:

  • This is a MICRO FICTION!

  • The MAX WORD COUNT is 500 words.

  • There is no minimum word count, but the submission should be coherent and resemble a news report.

  • Grading will be done using the Fiction Rubric.

  • This should go without saying, but no AI submissions are permitted.
