The sands of time adrift in waves pass as the measure of motion in all things. What is a memory but a packaged protein placed from the information of our senses. The light from our eyes wire to the brain, then wash it in acid until that light takes shape. When you remember, the neuron fires and brings back the light once witnessed.

The value is to generate emotional chemistry that activates survival functions. To exercise joy and sorrow in reflection is a byproduct to the dopamine and serotonin that follow.

It shapes us.

They make up not your identity, it is data. They express as a kaleidoscope of patterns that fringe between the verges of sporadic energy and structural design.

There are things I could forget, and others I a can't remember. Yet the only constant is change, and slave to it I march forward with what is captured and what is lost. Each embraced and imparted with the emotion their diligence is due.

Life is a series of moments, joy and sorrow mingle, so fragile are the threads that connect us.
A sunrise brings a smile, the golden shine on morning dew, a cup of coffee with a loved one.
Happy is a new day. Every heartbeat counts, reach out and embrace your days, good or bad,
For life's moments unfold quickly sometimes, and are lost to soon.

How you live matters as much as how you don’t, ignoring something does not make it go away.
Obsessing can make it worse. Find your balance and live that.
The bright stars can guide our way, but in failure, lessons take root, learn from your mistakes.

The spoken tales of life, in every breath, a story, every moment an epic novel,
Hold dear those moments, for soon they are gone.

What do I enjoy?
Trying to annoy
Making you a toy
Aiming to destroy
Pushing to annoy
“Is he being coy?”
Nothing but a ploy
Misery brings joy

The solace found in the wake of utter destruction is surreal,
For the victor this quiet time has a strange appeal.
Total silence is slowly replaced by chittering and peaceful sounds,
As nature reclaims the area it once ruled.
Smoke and death are all around,
a bird returns to peck the scorched ground.
A lone warrior, waning after the fight seems transfixed by the bird and it’s normal flight.

Friends as company to share a meal
Lounging with my one true love hits all of the feels
Evenings watching the stars at night
Enjoying my gardens is truly right
Taking a leisurely walk in the sun
Invitations for an adventure are always fun
Nightly soaks in the hot tub
Giving my hubby a nice long hug

Fall

Grip Slacks

Warmth leaves, Cells die.

Stems weaken, life's blood thins

Gravity waits to bring our fate

Leaves fall

Fall follows the rules of cinquain
