Welcome to the Weight of the World, the second in a series of long-form campaigns, focused on the various subfactions that make up the Clan. The goal of this campaign, much like the one before it, is to expand the depth of our assets and drive our narrative directions by exploring and expanding upon them, delving into their place within our current lore, and affirming Odan-Urr's current place in the Dark Brotherhood, now that we're no longer just the Rebels and Jedi on the run, fighting for our survival. Throughout this campaign, we will use and expand upon select assets of The Clan, alongside a heavy fictional focus to show off all that you can do with them.
The Campaign will be approximately one year long and run in phases, with different goals and metrics determining how well the Combined Forces of Clan Odan-Urr fare while responding to a diplomatic, military, and humanitarian crisis on the ground. The Campaigns are designed from the ground up to focus on these three assets for a few different reasons, primarily, it leans into the different aspects which people tend to play toward with their characters. (Intrigue? Diplomacy; Lightsaber Duels? Military; Rebels diverting Stolen Goods to the People? Humanitarian Crisis; Political Tension? Diplomacy; Ship Combat? Military; Providing Aid to a Drought-Stricken Village or Blockaded Planet? Humanitarian Crisis) Breaking things up in this manner also allows members to take a periodic break from aspects of the campaign to prevent burnout. Sometimes you can only take so much of a heavier topic in repetition before it overwhelms you. Giving you the chance to branch between the individual narratives is an attempt to break away from the narrative burnout.
An assassination and the auspices of war, things all too common to both the Vatali Empire and the survivors of New Tython. War, conflict, survival, these things were consistent, a way of life for the Rebels and Jedi of Odan-Urr, but even the most routine things become tiresome. Now, as Clan Odan-Urr comes to grips with the fact that one of their own, Celevon Werd’a is, in fact, responsible for the assassination of the Prime Minister of the Burmessian Republic, questions remain.
First and foremost… Why?
As the Odanites and the people of the Empire search for answers to the question and public sentiment moves away from overtures of war, Vosen Anasaye comes into the public eye once more. A Lieutenant Commander in the O.U.S.C., the boy who had once been held captive as a political prisoner now stood on the political stage. His first overture, conflict with the neighboring republic over the war criminals they gave asylum.
Across the Kiast system, on Solyiat, his sister and eventual heir to the throne, Anaya Anasaye faced a much different kind of upheaval. Knight Allie Mhach, had uncovered a hidden vergence, a Force Nexus, buried beneath the foothills of Widreth on Solyiat, and with it exposed her own connection to the Dark Side, forcing the young Anasaye to question. Does she report the Kushiban to the High Councilor, or like this vergence, help rebuild it into a tool for the Acolytes of Urr.
Choose one of the following two narratives:
[Hope] Anaye Anasaye and Knight Allie Mhach found a unique Force Nexus beneath the foothills of the ranging Widreth mountains on Solyiat. As the structure was first brought to the surface, the first of many potential dangers surfaced and attacked the Crown Princess, Knight, and their escort. As the primary structure was methodically cleared, many extant rooms were found. Under the gaze of the High Councilor, an excavation of the deeper chambers has been ordered. Creatures and creations born of Sith Alchemy are likely encounters within the nexus. Detail your character's exploration of at least one such chamber in the unearthed temple. What secrets might you find? How dangerous is this nexus? Will it claim the lives of your characters or any of our support team? Or is there something truly profound hidden within?
[Chokehold] Following the assassination of their Prime Minister, the young, no-nonsense, Lieutenant-Commander aboard The Sunrider, Vosen Anasaye, makes a bold proclamation to the sitting Burmessian Parliament. Odanite diplomats and fellow O.U.S.C. Officers stand to witness the young actions and words of the brazen child of Empress Kaltani Anasaye as he demands extradition of the Vauzem Asylum Seekers who terrorized the Quermian people. How did the events unfold? Did your character stand by, voice their opposition to his demands, or offer support? More importantly, what did the young Prince say to the assembled Parliament?
