The abandoned and decayed mountain complex of Tantiss Base provides many challenges to those bold enough to enter. Once a proud secret of the Empire, the facility’s laboratories, cloning vats, and deep vaults now lie in ruin—yet not abandoned. Imperial holdouts, warlord factions, and scavengers all prowl its broken corridors, seeking to claim whatever power still lingers in the mountain.
Stories and half-truths flow through the Brotherhood’s ranks. Some speak of trapped allies, others of vaults that should have remained sealed, and still more of ships slipping away into the void. With so many threats and opportunities vying for attention, the choice of what path to follow is yours.
Choose one (1) of the following threads to inspire your story. You may bring in NPCs or additional characters as you like, so long as the narrative centers on one of your Main, Alternative, or Slotted NPC characters.
Option I: Echoes in the Laboratories
Deep within the mountain lies a forgotten cloning wing, its doors buckled and power systems barely functional. Reports indicate scavengers have forced their way inside and are disturbing long-dormant experiments. Some speak of unstable prototypes still alive in containment. You are tasked with venturing into this hazardous sector, contending not only with hostile scavenger fire but also the unpredictable dangers left behind by Imperial science. Do you purge the wing, salvage its knowledge, or harness its terrors for your own ends?
Option II: The Bunker That Wouldn’t Die
An Imperial warlord faction has reactivated the shattered command bunker of Tantiss, piecing together old defense grids and weapon emplacements. Their control is tenuous but growing, and if allowed to solidify, they could use the base as a stronghold against the Brotherhood. Your mission is to infiltrate the bunker, cripple their operations, and prevent them from consolidating power. Do you strike swiftly and sabotage their systems, rally disaffected troops to your side, or confront the warlord leader directly in their seat of power?
Option III: Shadows Over Wayland
Not all threats emerge from below. Several Imperial ships, laden with stolen technology from Tantiss, have launched from hidden hangars and are attempting to vanish into the chaos of Wayland’s skies. Their escorts deploy jammers and drones to mask their retreat, while scavenger craft try to slip away in the confusion. Whether at the controls of your own vessel or coordinating with Brotherhood pilots, you must hunt them down. Do you disable the fleeing ships for capture, destroy them before their cargo is lost to the galaxy, or pursue the leaders to uncover where they intend to regroup?
