Item Description: A telescopic pole (from 1m to 2.5m) with mechanical pincers on one end which upon contact will attach itself to the neck or a limb of their target and then burn its remaining battery cell life to become exceptionally heavy, wrestling their victim to the ground for up to two minutes, before exhausting itself and falling off.

Here is my submission for a new prototype melee weapon. It is derived from my love of Japanese weaponry then added the cool Mando stuff to it. I just drew up the image with colored pencils for a reference as I have no artistic ability to draw up a cool rendering of them. I then added in my description and a little lore to the prototype weapon using the Item Prototype Approval Policy guideline.

Name: Protoblade

Rarity: Epic

Description: A gauntlet made of a cortosis-durasteel alloy that can be used as a short-bladed gauntlet with your Bladed Weapons skill, or ignited to produce a three foot long, yellow plasma blade that uses your Lightsaber skill. The plasma blade is thin and wide, requiring the use of more standard bladed weapon skills, such as edge alignment.

A recreation of a prototype weapon invented by the Tagge corporation, the Protoblade is far from perfect. The cortosis alloy can cause the weapon to short, it requires an external power supply, and the blade can burn out entirely, causing the weapon to detonate with enough force to destroy the limb it is attached to.

As the Protoblade was a prototype weapon made to copy Lightsabers, it can only be made by very specialist weapon smiths and wielded by those willing to risk literal life and limb. However, the lack of need for Force attunement or a Kyber crystal means that it can be used by anyone brave enough to try.

Item Description: The Trench Knife combines the utility of both a standard knuckler and a blade. A knuckler-style handguard has been attached to the hilt from which emerges a medium-length knife blade. This provides hand protection and allows for enhanced punches in close quarters combat.
