First up - Acklay.

Fun fact: Acklays are carnivorous, predatory creatures, and though they typically lived underwater on Vendaxa, they came on land to hunt the planet's plains for lemnai. Surprisingly agile, Acklays were protected by a hard, shell-like carapace of bony nodules, scuttling around on their six pointed legs, using an organ beneath their chins to sense the body electricity of their prey. They were not only captured and bred for the gladiatorial combat arena's due to their ferocity, but were also considered prized specimens in the menageries of the galaxy's elite. The Rules

• Screenshot images must be uploaded directly to the site (i.e. no Word files or PDF files), and must show the number of pieces used to complete the puzzle.
• Any submissions that are less than 50% incomplete, or have the wrong number of pieces will be disqualified.
• If the submission has more than 50% completed, but not fully completed, will count towards participation only.
• Submissions must show the piece count: 63.
  
• The fastest time to complete the puzzle wins, ties will be broken by subscription to submission time.

Participating in this competition award points towards the overall event following the scoring breakdown below.

• 1st place: 8 points
  
• 2nd place: 7 points
  
• 3rd place: 6 points
  
• 4th place: 5 points
  
• 5th place: 4 points
• Participation: 3 points

Placement in the monthly parent competition will award 2 bonus points for 1st-3rd placements towards the overall parent competition. In the event of a tie, placements will be determined based on the number of first place finishes, followed by second places if necessary and so on. If there are still any ties, then it will be determined through site submission times.
