You may team up with up to 5 additional members. Pick a cool name for your team.

  • Entries may be compressed into a zip format for easier upload: .zip, .rar

The Sinning Den
The Godless Matron, Deep Space — New Republic Territory

Bryl slid silently onto the one open barstool remaining at the Sinning Den’s bar, eyes
constantly on the move scanning his surroundings. The Chiss had rarely seen this
place so packed but it didn't stop him from noticing and taking note of the Twi'lek at
the end of the bar. He'd never seen him before and he stood out. Most people in this
dive wore their gang colors or markings openly, eager to make a show of their
allegiances. This fellow had none. He was about as bland as an asteroid, and here,
that made him stand out.

Bryl gave a small wave to the barkeep, a very overweight Devaronian, who scowled
before making his way over.

“You shouldn’t be here,” the Devaronian said, throwing a towel on the bar top.

“Come on Mahk, I need a drink. Today has been rough,” Bryl pleaded. Mahk shook his
Head.

“Your tab is maxed, and after dropping the shipment earlier today, you shouldn’t
even be on the Matron.”

Bryl shifted on the stool and pulled the hood of his cloak tighter around his head.

“Now, that wasn’t my fault, and Zefri knows that. I was going to use the creds on
clearing my tab I swear, I just,” Bryl said. Mahk placed a large hand over the Chiss’
Mouth.

“Yeah, I know. Poor luck, bad job, no creds. Those weapons were expensive and Zefri
has let everyone know it. I’m surprised you made it through the rest of the ship, the
price on your head is high.” Mahk said sternly. “You should run back to Kasiya while
you still can.”

Out of the corner of his eye, Bryl noticed a sudden movement. His hand shot down
quickly grabbing the hilt of his dagger.

The Twi’lek from the far end of the bar placed a calm hand on Bryl’s shoulder.
“I hear you are in some trouble, lad. Let me buy you a drink, I might have a solution
for you.” The Twi’lek slid a credit chit towards Mahk, who grunted before pocketing it
and pouring a pair of drinks for the two.

Bryl glanced around the cantina again, no one seemed to be taking particular
interest in him. He tried to make himself smaller regardless.

“A job then?”

“The biggest score of your life, I’d wager,” the Twi’lek said, before taking a large sip of
his drink. He leaned in closer and with little more than a whisper added, “A vault,
minimal security. The owners have too many throughout the galaxy that they can’t
even keep track of all their goods. I’ve got the buyers ready and waiting to receive.”
“The catch?” Bryl asked. The Twi’lek smiled.

“Well if you get caught no one will come to help you. And it's...” the Twi’lek paused
while taking another drink. “Time-sensitive. Open offer, others are already in play
trying to take it.”

Bryl shifted on the stool and finally took a drink, mind racing. The Twi’lek smiled.
“Don’t trust someone I don’t know,” Bryl said at long last.

“Dolnat Bir, a pleasure to meet you friend,” answered the Twi'lek, offering his hand.
Bryl paused before shaking it, taking the small datacard Dolnat was palming. Dolnat
smiled even wider, displaying a wide array of mostly present and straight teeth.

“It's on the planet Y’thal, those codes can get you in. Rendezvous coords included.
You may want to get a move on though, I think someone noticed you..”

Bryl rapidly turned towards the entrance of the cantina as some hired muscle
pointed directly at him. He dropped his drink and disappeared into the crowd.
