Competition: Project: Pathfinder: Fundraising
"A new age of pioneering and exploration is at hand. We call it... Project: Pathfinder."
Project: Pathfinder has begun! A bold undertaking by the Sunrider Summit to build an entirely new outward facing fleet for the purpose of exploration, adventure, and charting unexplored hyperspace lanes. If successful, this project could reshape the future of House Sunrider completely.
But fleets don't materialize out of thin air, and with the brewing political crisis amongst the Vatali, Mihoshi is hesitant to allocate assets to such a risky endeavor, and so it falls to the members of Sunrider themselves to find ways to fund this bold undertaking.
In 500 words or more, write a story about how one of your characters attempts to acquire funds for Project: Pathfinder. Perhaps they partake in a bit of black marketeering? Using the House's underworld connections to launder funds? Or do they stick to the straight and narrow, funding the project through legitimate business deals or public donations? Perhaps they go on a gambling tour to win the credits at the sabaac table?
The choice is yours, and questions will be few, so long as nothing you do comes back to haunt the House in the future.
