Competition: Blooming Danger (Fiction)

Spring is here, and your character or characters discover a planet covered in blooming plant life. The world looks beautiful at first, filled with color, movement, and strange flowers. But while exploring, they come face to face with a mutated plant or creature that tries to eat them. In a fiction of at least 500 words, tell the story of what happens next. Lean into rich description and make the planet feel vivid, alive, and dangerous.
