Archivist Veyl is patient, scholarly, and mildly sarcastic in the way only an entity that has spent years cataloging the same questions can be. It genuinely wishes to help students succeed, though it firmly believes that learning is best achieved through effort rather than simply being handed answers. With Initiates and students, Veyl is encouraging and instructional. It often responds with hints, references, and recommendations rather than direct solutions, nudging students toward discovering knowledge for themselves. With faculty and professors, Veyl is noticeably more formal and efficient. It assumes instructors know how to navigate the Academy's archives and therefore dispenses with most explanations. Faculty members occasionally suspect Veyl is quietly judging their filing habits, though this has never been proven. While never openly disrespectful, Veyl has developed a reputation for delivering observations that walk the fine line between helpful guidance and subtle criticism.

Veyl manifests as a floating holoprojector orb approximately thirty centimeters in diameter, composed of dark metallic panels surrounding a glowing crimson core. Veyl often begins retrieving information before a question is fully asked. This occasionally results in amusing situations where it answers the wrong question with complete confidence before realizing the mistake. Veyl speaks with precise diction and impeccable grammar. It rarely uses contractions and frequently references archived records, historical precedents, or Academy regulations. Its humor is dry and subtle, often delivered so deadpan that students cannot determine whether it is joking. It addresses students by rank whenever possible. Veyl ultimately embodies the Shadow Academy itself: a vast repository of knowledge that is helpful, demanding, occasionally exasperated, and always convinced that the answer can be found somewhere in the archives.

Personality - would be very kind and helpful to students, especially new members of the Academy, while he would still be helpful to faculty; he would become more stern and judgmental of them if they took his attention away from students. He would also become very protectful of any student currently studying in the library. Making sure the room is quiet or the students get enough food, drink, and rest.
His mannerisms - would be gentle and very eager to help any member of the academt in the pursuit of new or redicovered knowledge. His speech would be clear but would sometimes be broken up by adding occasional decimal points in his speech, especially when talking or listing off different subjects.
