Competition: Ancient Voyager

Prompt

Without a hyperdrive, interstellar travel would take a very, VERY long time. It's quite possible that over 25,000 years ago, before the hyperdrive was available to the common galactic citizen, a starship may have launched into space, and it could still be traveling to its far-flung destination this very day!

As luck would have it, that's exactly what the sensors appear to have picked up: A ship, adrift in space at sub-light speeds with no sign of a hyperdrive. Its trajectory appears to originate from within the galaxy, but it matches no records throughout the history of the Galactic Republic. It seems this ship may have been drifting for a very, very long time.

Where did it come from? Where is it going? What is on-board? Why is it on this voyage? What happens with it now? These questions are yours to answer! Write a story detailing what happens when this ship is discovered.

Requirements

• Prominently feature at least one of your active characters with a valid character sheet. Attaching a snapshot is optional. Additional characters may be included or created to tell this story.
• Write a minimum of 500 words. Bonus Clusters of Ice will be rewarded for every additional 500 words.
• Entries must be submitted as a static file (.pdf, .txt, .docx, etc.) or by using the submission text box for this competition. Links to Google Docs or other "live" documents that can be edited after submission will be disqualified. ** If your entry is not PG-13, please make sure to hide your entry by unchecking the “Allow people to view your submission after the competition has been judged” box.
