Competition: The Metamorphosis

Alright, fans of body horror and the Kafkaesque. It began as a joke in #fiction-chat, but now it's real.

Prompt: It's a normal day when your character wakes up, but it doesn't take long to discover they've been inexplicably transformed into a Hutt. How do they react? Do they struggle to adjust to their condition? Or do they embrace their new sluggish life? How does the transformation affect their family, friends, superiors and clanmates?

Your character maintains their memories, abilities, possessions, etc. They are the same, but suddenly a Hutt. The rest is up to you to decide and tell.

Rules:

• You must submit your fiction in a PDF or DOCX format.
• Entries must be minimum 500 words; anything shorter will be disqualified and ineligible for participation or placement. There is a maximum of 2,000 words. I can only take so much Hutt.
• You must submit a snapshot of your character's loadout via the checkbox on the submission page.
• If your entry is not PG-13, please make sure to hide your entry by unchecking the “Allow people to view your submission after the competition has been judged” box.
• Submissions will be graded according to the official Fiction Rubric 3.0.
