Competition: Ghost Ships

A number of merchant vessels have started disappearing on the edge of the Kiast System. Given the political chaos gripping the Empire, no official investigation has been manned. House Sunrider has given you remit to take command of one vessel from the newly constructed Pathfinder Fleet to investigate.

• Write a short fiction (maximum 2,000 words, minimum 500 words) describing what you find and how you resolve it (or fail to).
• Your character is given command of one vessel from the Pathfinder Fleet.
• Many vessels in the fleet have their own unique capabilities and upgrades. Bonus consideration will be given for creative uses of these abilities and attention to detail. Reach out to a member of the House Sunrider summit with any questions.
• Aside from that, grading will be done along the standard fiction rubric.
• The top three submissions will receive crescents as appropriate for the tear. First place will be permitted to name one Imperial Gozanti-class Cruiser from the fleet (provided the name is appropriate).
