Competition: [VBB] The Road to Life Day

Prompt: The Road to Life Day

It's been an exhausting year, but Life Day is right around the corner.

Across the galaxy, preparations are underway. Families gather supplies, travelers race to make it home, and friends make plans to reunite. Some struggle to find the perfect gift, while others face long journeys, unfinished business, or unexpected complications that threaten to ruin their plans before the festivities even begin.

Whether your character is preparing for a traditional celebration, traveling across the stars to be with loved ones, or simply trying to make it through the season in one piece, the days leading up to Life Day rarely go exactly as expected.

Tell a story about your character's preparations for Life Day or their journey to a celebration, and how those plans don't go as expected. The destination may be a familiar home, a long-awaited reunion, or somewhere entirely unexpected. Whatever the circumstances, the journey is just as important as the destination, and so is the twist.
