Competition: Great Sacrifice: Rites of Tiamat

Finished
Great Sacrifice: Rites of Tiamat

Specifics

The newly-appointed Quaestor of House Qel-Droma is notorious as a ruthless and callous man, a learned Dark Jedi steeped in ancient and esoteric lore. In a singular act of cruel despotism, he has ordered that all Journeymen of Qel-Droma that have failed the sworn duties of their Shadow Oath, instead of being cast into exile, be chained and ritually tortured and sacrificed in an attempt to reenact of the Lesser Black Rite of Tiamat, a mystic Krath rite chaining the afflicted souls of the sacrifice to empower the ritualists.

Entrants are to write no more than one page of fiction detailing their role as an enactor of this bloody ritual and the sacrifice of these NPC’s; choose the setting, the elements of the ritual’s performance, the manner of slaying of the sacrifices, and the outcome of the ritual’s culmination. Does the ritual succeed? Does it fail horribly, somehow afflicting some or all of it’s participants? How does your character ultimately regard the bloody excesses of the new Quaestor?
