Competition: Death of a Cestian

Specifics

Based off of Raken's "Death of a Clan" competition, your goal is to write a story ending in your death. How will it happen? Where will you be? Will you be killed or will you die from sickness or natural causes? Will you be fighting a great war and die in honor and sacrifice, or will you die from foolishness, treachery, or hubris? Things also to take note of is the cause of your death, who witnesses it, and how you will be remembered as a member of Cestus and Tarentum.

Write no less than two pages; there is no maximum. And the more dramatic, the better! Also, make sure to make the year and your age clear in the story, even if it means typing it at the beginning in italics.
