Competition: Where were you when.....

Specifics

During every generation there is a defining event where everyone can remember what they were doing at the moment in time the event happened. In the past 50 years it has ranged from Order 66, the destruction of Aldaraan, death of the Emperor, sacking of Coruscant by the Vong, ect.

I want the participants to write about a defining event in the life of their character. The event has to be canon, cannot take place in the DJB universe (as it has to be a galaxy shaking event) but it can involve their persona whether they were in the DJB at the time or not. 4th place crescents, 2 week time frame.
