Competition: THB [One-Word Run-On]

Following the link in the Platforms, you are tasked with creating a story based off of the basic story line I will supply at the start of the competition.

This Run-On will carry on by each member posting 1 (one) word each post to take the story in whatever random direction it goes towards! May the random-est person win!

No double-posting, there needs to be at least one person to post after your last post before you can reply with a new word. Also, please try and use a word that coincides with the post just prior to yours. I'm going to want to be able to make heads or tails out of this SOMEHOW.
