Competition: Keeping Enemies Close

Finished
Keeping Enemies Close

Winston Churchill once said that if Hitler invaded Hell, he would at least make a favorable reference to the Devil in the House of Commons. He was, of course, responding to questions of his support of Josef Stalin after Hitler invaded Russia. Though viewed as an adversary, Stalin was preferable to Hitler.

Likewise, we in the Dark Brotherhood must sometimes choose the lesser of two evils.

Write a short story (minimum 1 page, single spaced, 12 point font, MS Word or similar program) about a time your character found themselves dealing with someone who is nominally an adversary, but became an ally: at least for a short time.
