Competition: [RotL] Week Three - Never Again.

Finished
[RotL] Week Three - Never Again.

Specifics

Cy Thuron fell upon a world that was fractured and broken, each of its sides jealously guarding their territory. As one, they fell, some crushed under heel while others simply paid with their lives. Now, behind the Jedi and under the oppression of a Sith, the people have, as one, come together. They stand united now, ready to take back their home, ready for the first time to compromise with and respect one another - if it means the departure of the False King.

Write a poem, and in it, detail the events herein. I want to feel the fear and distrust of the people; I want to know their terror, as their world fell down. Write of their struggles, their trials, and the unity born therein; write of how they have united, to drive tyranny off of New Tython for the last time. Shout it to the stars, to the Galaxy above:

Never again. Never again will anyone take our homeworld.

Sing the praises of an unchained people!
Raise your voice to the free blue skies!
Let freedom reign from every tower!
Today is the day the New Dawn dies!

It started from a dark whisper
The wicked, twisted, tyrant's plan.
To dominate a peaceful world,
Our home is where his scheme began.
Two peoples drawn so far apart,
A world divided, cleaved in two
Colonial, Harakoan
And Thuron forged the gap anew.

One people slaves, the others serfs,
A world whose soul was left to die.
Our homes were taken from us all,
To hear our peoples' anguished cry.
The blue sunset was the first step
Of Thuron's renewed dark ascent
And he would gladly murder all
Who sowed the seeds of our dissent.

Hear the mourning of a chained people!
Our voices hushed under our blue skies!
Our freedom crushed by a wicked King!
Witness the day New Tython dies!

The Jedi left us all alone
To fight the war with none beside
A thousand died each passing day
The rest would all be locked inside
Purity was our new home now
A prison meant to keep us in
And all because our pure blue skin
Was judged to be a bastard sin.

The Jedi found their way inside
Prisoners chained just as we were.
Millions of our lives were taken,
The Butcher had become Reaper.
The Jedi came, a ray of hope
A daring and audacious plan
They swore to free us, to protect
To free us down to the last man.

Heed the whispers of a bound people!
Our voices rising to blood-moon skies!
Freedom would be ours again!
A plan so that Thuron dies!

They freed our leaders to return,
And stole a ship for their escape.
The Jedi would return in force,
And then they would decide his fate.
It was renewed hope for us all,
The first we saw our shining sun.
We swore that day, to dying breath
That we would fight until we won.

We rose as one united force,
Inside cities and 'pon the shore.
We fought his army to a halt,
And then we knocked upon his door.
His head would roll, we knew that day
For we are the children of Yhi.
And now New Dawn becomes sunset,
So hear us now, for we are free!

Sing the praises of an unchained people!
Raise your voice to the free blue skies!
Let freedom reign from every tower!
Today is the day the New Dawn dies!
