With the popularity of the Expanded Universe amongst the majority of Star Wars fans, why did you disregard the entire EU and alienate the true diehard fans?

How do you think the fans of the original three; and those of the newer three; will relate to fans of the new planned trilogy?

Everyone is excited about the links between this new era of Star Wars and the past (original trilogy casting being a big one), but how would you describe what sets our new trilogy apart from the Star Wars of old? What new things will represent this new era of films?

Will the new Star Wars trilogy primarily be used to draw in a new generation of fans or will it cater to the life-long fans, or both?

How do you see these SW series as fitting into the overall story of SW?
