The Brotherhood through the years has fought countless factions throughout it’s History. However, they all pale in comparison to a faction known as the Solstus Sun Riders. This group of warriors has made its way throughout the Galaxy, most notably the Outer Rim Territories. They are Force Sensitives who have learned to harvest the power of central stars of various solar systems.
The Solstus Sun Riders were founded by a Jedi turned Sith. Feeling that he learned everything he could from the teachings of the Sith and the Jedi, Kalu Solstus turned from the Light and the Dark. He traveled the Galaxy and at times ravaged entire systems with his charismatic leadership and his own dogmatic views of the Force.
He felt, in a sense, that he could draw power from Light itself and came up with ways to harness Solar energy. He declared himself a Sun God. Over the decades, he managed to manipulate a following of primitive beings and created a base of operations which would expand to multiple systems.
Traits: Light is energy and Darkness is devoid of Light therefore devoid of energy. This obsession has caused them to live in an absolute Light that is unyielding and constant. Their cities are lit from floor to ceiling and the streets are illuminated by harvested solar energy. Even their weaponry is powered by this same energy. While they hate the Jedi and the Sith. The Sun Riders are more lenient and empathetic towards the Jedi Order because of their deeply rooted faith in the Light Side of the Force.
Leader: Kalu Solstus - Birthname (Kalu Kai) - A towering behemoth of a man, Kalu has white hair and bright yellow eyes. These eyes are cybernetic because of his obsession with Light and energy, Kalu spent many hours of each day staring into the Sun. This eventually lead to his blindness. In fact, this is a right of passage for the Sun Riders. The sacrifice of vision for a brighter future is a vision for their Order. Kalu, while he obsesses over the Light also hopes to achieve absolute control over himself, over others (wise religious/political figure), and over the Galaxy as a whole. He also wears golden armor with gold beams of energy gleaming from his pauldrons and thick armor.. He wields a staff that can send blasts of energy that can penetrate nearly anything, much like the blade of a Lightsaber. He also carries an Incineration Blaster that dissolves the matter of anything the bolt comes into contact with by way of intense heat.
Membership - Hundreds of life forms of various species and races. Kalu has a Cult following.
Base of Operations - Kalu Solstus acquired an Imperial Star Destroyer in battle that now serves as his main base of operations. After commandeering the vessel now known as Gamma One, Kalu’s engineers have fitted it with a massive weapon that can obliterate starships with a single shot. Through intimidation and indoctrination he has amassed a rather large fleet of ships but they are mixed as they more or less pick up what they can when and where they can. Scavengers for the most part, Kalu hopes to skip from system to system, recruiting whomever he can, Jedi and Sith alike.
