Primary reason: Today marks an important step in the continued progression and success of our beloved Knight, Kylex. He has recently demonstrated resolve and determination - along with tremendous activity - to become a peer leader for his Battle Team - Tacitus Athanasius. For his efforts, I am pleased to award him his first ever Anteian Cross.

Since his last recognition, Kylex has participated in 17 competitions, organized 4 competitions, completed 1 ACC Battles, penned 2 Fiction Activities (2131 words!), and passed 9 Shadow Academy courses. In addition, he has collected several awards: 5 Crescents (1 Cr-A, 1 Cr-S, 3 Cr-T), and 9 Clusters of Ice. What has stood out most, to me, though has been his leadership in the month of March. While his Battle Team Leader was tasked with other projects, Kylex did an admirable job stepping forward and creating direction within his small group. Most significant, though, has been his help in shaping the story of his Battle Team and House Excidium. Kylex was a major contributor in two House updates - March Update 1, March Update 2 - that total nearly 15 pages of continuous fiction that bridges a major DB plot update into a CSP plot update and sets the tone for future direction in April.

This is well earned, Kylex. I am very proud of the work you are doing to better yourself, better your team, and make the Clan a better place. I look forward to seeing your continued effort as you work towards the Equite ranks.

Additional reasons: Kylex has been a great friend, a great asset, and is shaping to be a great leader for our Brotherhood. His activity in Telegram, including his artwork that he has created for each Battle Team Member to use, is something many members enjoy on a frequent basis. Not only is activity shown on Telegram, but in the Brotherhood archives as well. Kylex has ran 4 of his own competitions for Battle Team Tacitus Athanasius, and has helped immensely in the input of two Battle Team and House Fiction Updates. He always strives to make himself available whether it be to a friend or to a task. Thus, I wholeheartedly believe Kylex more than deserves his first ever Anteian Cross. Congratulations, Kylex! You are shaping up to be an amazing leader. I cannot wait to see further development in your character and in your roles within Clan Scholae Palatinae.

It comes without doubt that Kylex has continued to prove that he represents the spirit of the Clan and Tacitus Athanasius. Having stepped up to take the helm of the Battle Team in March, I have had the honor to work with him and discuss fictional development for TA as well as the project he and I are both working on. During his time as my right hand, Kylex has contributed to two fictional updates for both TA and House Excidium, organized four TA competitions, and has been awarded various awards from participating and placing in a plethora of competitions. In addition, I found my email blasted by numerous notifications of his activities and successes in the Shadow Academy.

However, I cannot forget to mention how Kylex has also been a huge presence on Telegram. Especially in the TA chat. He is always there encouraging others to grow in rank, and does what he can to lift up the spirits of others having a bad day. I have come to respect him as well as accept him as a good friend. Despite the time difference, when I need help with something, he’s always ready to help as soon as he’s able to. I am truly proud to have him as my Sergeant in TA, and I am even prouder to see him be awarded his very first Anteian Cross. Congratulations, Kylex. Well deserved.
