Meleu is a workhorse, I have had the pleasure of working with him in the Shadow Academy and now within House Qel-Droma and Arcona. His work ethic and attention to detail are impeccable. He already has a trove of accolades from the Shadow Academy from his work there and I’m certain more to follow from his new position on the Wiki staff. I’m here today to speak to the contributions he’s made to House Qel-Droma and Clan Arcona as a whole.

Since his transfer to House Qel-Droma, Meleu has done nothing but ask how he can help improve the unit. I’m sure I’m lowballing this but he made edits or contributed to twenty four distinct Arcona wiki pages before and after his appointment to Wiki Staff. He has proved an invaluable mentor and resource to the younger leaders and members of the House. He has worked closely with both BTLs to help them develop their team wiki pages and provide general advice on running a BT. He was award a Dark Side Scroll for having his wiki page selected as page of the month, setting a sterling example of what right looks like to the younger members and a Scroll of the Master for mentoring Darkblade to DJK. Beyond all of this he also leads by example from within the ranks. Since his promotion in September he has participated in twenty four competitions, including Fading Light III and the GJW, garnering four Crescents and 126 Clusters of Fire.

It is my distinct privilege to present Meleu with this Steel Cross in recognition of his work building up House Qel-Droma and Clan Arcona.

He also recently served as Battleteam Leader in Shar Dahkan, making significant plans for that unit before Clan directives required us to pursue a different route. During the Great Jedi War, Shirai participated in three of the competitions in support of his Clan. He also recently ran a competition prior to the War. Shirai also showed strong leadership at the beginning of the Great Jedi War, when he took the initiative and began organizing teams for the competitions that required them without being told to do so. He gave Naga Sadow a firm beginning to the War, and is an example to all leaders for this kind of action. For this and his efforts during the War, I'd like to award him this Anteian Cross!

Jade is a long time member of Naga Sadow who has continued to be pretty active and had a strong showing in the Great Jedi War. In that event, she earned seven Seals of Revelation. In addition, since her last award, Jade has earned three Sapphire Crescents, one Emerald Crescent, eight Clusters of Ice, and three Seals of the Crusader. She has also run a competition for the entire club, as well as participated in eight other competitions outside of vendetta. In addition, she takes it upon herself to work with and bond with newer members, as evidenced by her proofreading and helping members such as Maelous when it comes to Runons and other writing competitions. It's always good to see this level of involvement from a long time member, and for that I would like to recognize Jade's efforts with this award.

Invictus is hard to quantify on paper alone. What he is, and what he does for Arcona is hard to put into words. Invictus is not a member of the Arcona Summit. He holds no formal position. That has never once stopped him, however, from asking me, nearly every single day a simple question: “What can I do to help?”

Invictus is opinionated. He is also not afraid to stand up for what he believes in, which can cause him to butt heads with others. Regardless of this, his experience and presence always managed to push others around to do more. He challenges them. Drives them.

Since his last major award over a year ago, Invictus has earned 4 Pendants of Blood, 375 Clusters of Fire, 23 Clusters of Ice, and an LoS. He has also been my primary consultant for all things spreadsheet and data related. He is literally a godsend and a wizard, and is the first person to come and join me in a Google Sheet at 1AM in the morning on a work night to lend me a hand with getting a column to sort properly. He has made countless sheets such as our trackers used to monitor membership activity in Vendettas, and was a fierce competitor himself in them. He was a full participant in the Fading Light Run-On and ACC.

In the Great Jedi War, he once again showed why he’s our 6th man (basketball analogy, sorry) on the Summit. He was able to compete in 9/11 events, while helping our Run-On team secure a 4th place spot. For the Run-On, he really took the lead in organizing us, and had a google doc created within the opening minutes and started brainstorming the outline. His energy and passion are contagious and are what helped a lot of push through the harder times.

Invictus is one of the hardest working Arconans that you’ll never really get to see, because most of the work he does is behind the scenes as a result of him not having a formal position. He is just as important as any other cog to the Arcona System, and I attribute his contributions heavily to our success overall as a unit.

Though somewhat late on the scene in GJW XI, Dracayris has been a force once he did. Participating in 6 individual events would be a strong start, but it was his contributions to one of Plagueis’ battle plan teams is what is really deserving of mention. He quickly dove in and became a major contributor putting out high quality work in very short order. When he realized that he needed to bone up on Star Wars tactical warfare, he promptly took all of the Flight Studies courses in the Shadow Academy to get up to speed. In fact, in the time since the end of the war, Dracaryis has been on a tear in the Shadow Academy. Since his last promotion he has taken an astounding 22 courses. Among these are several leadership courses, which shows a high level of interest in the betterment of the unit.

Because Dracaryis has done nothing but work since he showed up, I feel he fully deserves this award. Well done sir!

In recent months, Octavia has been a force when it comes to participation. She participated in all eight events during the Anchorage event and ten out of eleven events during the Great Jedi War. This included helping her team to an 8th place finish in the Run-On event. Because of her contributions, her team came out on top in the Anchorage event. During all of this, Octavia was continuing her efforts the leader of the Apostles of Syn. She’s been an important contributor towards Plagueis’ efforts in recent months and is more than deserving of this award.

Ah Dralin, where would we be without him. He managed to participate in 8 of 11 events in GJW XI, including being a major part of two Nova winning teams (run on and battleplan). Even more importantly, Dralin has stepped into a very important role in the unit. After the War, we got a sudden influx of new members and we needed help. Dralin stepped into the Rollmaster job right when we needed him to and has been off to a fast start. That wasn’t a surprise after his efforts during the war to supplement our efforts to integrate our new members. He’s quite deserving of this award!

Over the past couple major competitions he’s had the opportunity to participate in, Azmodius has put in an admirable amount of effort. Between the Great Jedi War and the Anchorage competition that preceded it, Azmodius participated in an astounding 14 competitions, taking a crescent in one of them. Among them, he contributed to all three team events during the War and was a key part of each of them. Beyond that, he has shown a dedication to progressing through the Shadow Academy. He has completed 14 courses since his last promotion as well as two Dark Pundit degrees.

Because of his hard work and dedication, Azmodius more than deserves this award. Well done Sir!

Taranae, quite simply, is one of the key pieces that holds this unit together. First as Rollmaster, and now as Aedile of Karness Muur, she has done, quite simply, everything we could ever ask of her. She’s worked hard to make sure we maintained our clan status both by working with our new members and by recruiting them herself, earing 2 Scrolls of Indoctrination since her last award. She’s never stopped looking for ways to better the unit through her efforts.

Of course, one of the ways to lead is by example and an example she is. Her activity has been steady and strong over the past months. She’s participated in over thirty competitions over that time, most notably going 9/11 in the GJW, 8/8 in the Anchorage event. She’s taken home 3 crescents for her work, but that’s not the most impressive bit to me. Taranae has earned an astounding 20 Clusters of Ice since July. This is easily the most of anyone in the unit and likely ranks up among the higher totals in the DJB in that time. Her writing has noticeably improved over the past few months which included a 9th place finish in the second round of the GJW. Oh, and she games occasionally too, earning almost 80 CFs and 2 Pendants of Blood.

Considering all she’s done, I’m pleased to endorse this award. Good work and keep it up!
