Taranae is one of the most consistent and solid members of House Ajunta Pall. During the recent Plagueis/Tarentum: Forged Alliances event, she was one of only two members of the House to complete seventeen of seventeen events. Taranae doesn't just submit to competitions, she provides quality submissions. For her efforts, Taranae walked away with a crescent for Graphics, one for poetry, and a whopping three for fiction events, with one first place event finish!.
Taranae is an absolute joy to have as a member of my leader team, and through her efforts she shows the newer members of the club what right looks like.
For her efforts over the course of Forged Alliances, I strongly recommend that she receive a Steel Cross. Congratulations, Taranae. Keep up the good work!

Kelly Mendes has been a powerhouse of activity over the past three months. During the recent Plagueis/Tarentum: Forged Alliances event, Kelly was one of only two members of House Ajunta Pall to complete all seventeen competition events. Not satisfied with only competing, Kelly put forward some incredible submissions and efforts, winning a gaming event and a cryptogram event, and placing in the top three in a fiction and poetry event.
Kelly exemplifies everything a leader hopes for in terms of active membership. She puts forth her best effort in every single thing she does, and it shows in the rain of clusters and crescents that shower her at the end of every competition.
It is with all this in mind that I strongly recommend her for a Steel Cross. Congratulations, Kelly! Job well done!

For more than three and a half months, I have served as Tarentum's Consul; Sith Bloodfyre - Beef - has been my Proconsul for almost that entire time. Selecting him for that position is something I pat myself on the back for on a daily basis, because I simply could not serve effectively without his incredible counsel, wisdom, and competence working alongside me. It goes without saying he's done the minimum of what you'd expect in his position - three reports since becoming PCON, co-organizer on twenty-five competitions, welcoming new and returning members, etc. - but the reason he's so deserving of this award is because of all the additional, more nebulous duties of a Proconsul that he's done. He's been the de facto Tarentum cheerleader since coming back to activity at the beginning of the year, and he's done nothing but redouble his efforts on that front since becoming PCON; promotions, new joins, babies IRL... all get a shout-out from Beef on the Clan mailing list. He's also a constant voice of reason and wisdom for our newer and more inexperienced leaders (including myself), putting his fifteen years of experience in the Brotherhood to good use.
The help he's provided me is simply incalculable, but for the sake of perpetuity (and the reviewers) I'll provide a few examples. I quickly learned how incredible of a writer Beef is very early on, and while the nine Clusters of Ice (for almost 5000 words of fiction) since the end of August should provide ready evidence of that fact, the context makes them even more important. Almost (if not all) of them came from his efforts to craft the fiction for our Clan vendetta, Reanimated. He was able to take a couple of half-coherent bullet points as to where I saw the story in my head and turn it into high quality fiction - it felt like every bullet point I gave him turned into a thousand words of fantastic story. As we seek to reinvent Tarentum's fictional place in the world - to make it coherent, new, and exciting - it's ironic that I'd turn to such a long-time veteran to assist in its creation. However, if the past 5000 words of fiction are any indication of the next 5000, Beef is more than up to the task.
The most recent and best example of Beef's capabilities came in the form of our joint event with Clan Plagueis, Forged Alliances. The execution of this event happened to fall into one of the busiest periods of time I have in the "Real World," so Beef has truly been the voice of Tarentum in carrying out the event. He was tapped twice at the last minute during it to write its fictional updates and he successfully did so both times with his usual quality; for both, this consisted of me poking him on Telegram saying, "Hey, Beef, we need a fiction done for the thing" and not much else as far as plot, then followed a few hours later with an excellent piece of writing ready to go. One of the few consistent job requirements for a Proconsul is to be able to fill in for the Consul when needed, and Beef proved during Forged Alliances he was effortlessly able to do that and then some.
I'm lucky to have Beef serving as my right hand man, and I know that I couldn't hope to accomplish half what I want to during my tenure as Consul without his assistance. Hopefully this Grand Cross adequately conveys my gratitude for all he's done. Tarentum is a better place because of his leadership thus far, and I'm excited to see what we can accomplish together moving forward.

Beef is the best mini boss I had! He's diligent in welcoming all his members and is helpful to each member of Tarentum. He's the go to guy for proofreading but also for advice for DJB things and personal life. He's like my assistant when it comes to Rollmaster duties and I thank him for that.
He's a good guy and a friend. Congratulations!

I can't speak to Beef's actions as a member of Clan Tarentum, but only as an outsider looking in. However, everything I have ever seen and every interaction has been nothing short of awesome. During the Forged Alliances event between Clans Plagueis and Tarentum, Beef was an awesome co-organizer in helping to create, craft, and modify a majority of the competitions and grading them. But most importantly, Beef's attention to detail has been exemplary; without hesitation Beef was pumping out fiction after fiction for the event in less than 24 hours notice. Overall his contribution to Forged Alliances cannot be understated, and all 16 competitions and the run-on went off without a single problem. Thank you again, Beef!

Tarentum has a solid core of experienced and incredibly capable Elders and senior Equites, but truly the most important group are our Journeymen. After all, without the new blood coming in, we'd grow stagnant and eventually die - we know, because we almost did. It stands to reason, then, that the position of Clan Rollmaster (tasked with overseeing the Journeymen) is one of particular importance. Luckily in Frosty we have that competent person. For the past six months, every new Journeyman to our Clan has been met with an enthusiastic and heartfelt greeting within hours of joining, and each very quickly understands they have someone dedicated to them and their needs. He keeps both the rest of the Summit as well as the entirety of Tarentum aware of what's going on and uses his reports - four so far under his tenure - to not only educate and motivate but also entice into activity with interesting puzzles in each. Under his leadership, we've seen three students reach their Knighthood and all together, he oversees and stays in regular communication with our eighteen Journeymen (not including our Knights) and eight Masters. Frosty also serves as an invaluable counselor to Beef and I in Clan-level discussions and decisions; to me, Rollmaster shouldn't be considered a second-class leadership position, and I always try to treat Frosty accordingly. Tarentum is a better place for it.
What makes Frosty even more worthy of recognition for his efforts is the fact that he's a truly "lead from the front" kind of person: since his last merit medal, he's received thirteen Crescents of various degrees for his participation in thirty-five competitions; he's also organized seven competitions on his own and co-organized another twelve. Besides being a gaming juggernaut (46 PvP matches for 225 CFs and 30 PvE activities for 95 CEs), he's also branched out to try his hand at writing and earned himself a CI in the process.
I truly could not ask for a better Rollmaster - capable in his own right while serving as an excellent role model for the Journeymen under his command - than I have in Frosty. I hope this Grand Cross shows you how much your work is appreciated.

Frosty has always been a powerhouse in Tarentum for gaming, but in his current stint as Rollmaster he has really shone as a leader as well. He leads by example; he still games and is participating in the Grand Master's ACC tournament. He stays in regular contact with Journeymen and is a constant presence on Telegram. Frosty has put a lot of time and effort into being Rollmaster and helping to build Tarentum up. He is a huge part of the reason we're at 40+ members instead of 20+ today, and that our members are happy and sticking around. Tarentum Momentum is surging us forward today, and we largely have Frosty to thank for it. He very much deserves recognition for his time, effort and skill. Keep up the good work, Brother!
Scion Tarentae, 2015-11-25 14:18:05 UTC
Frosty is an ongoing contributing member of Clan Tarentum. He is consistent with keeping the rolls of Tarentum in order and in check. He always has his reports out on time, and always has something unique about them that keeps the report interesting, for example, running a competition within his reports. Frosty does an outstanding job of finding new recruits new masters, and making sure things between master and apprentice are going well. Frosty is a very active member of Clan Tarentum, always finding ways to be active whether playing in the Old Republic, or creating competitions. It’s not easy for Frosty to be with us all of the time, as his time zone is on the other side of the world, but when Frosty can, you can expect him to be there on the front lines. I have known Frosty ever since he has joined the Brotherhood, and Clan Tarentum, and he has surpassed me in in countless ways. He is a superior leader, and a superior comrade that I am proud to call my friend. It discerns me that this is the second time I have seen a request for Frosty to earn a medal be denied. We’re not asking for a promotion here, but a simple medal to show Frosty our appreciation. We in Tarentum do not just go around handing out medals and promotions willy nilly, we give them out when we know our team members have achieved well beyond the goals set before them, and to those who have gone above and beyond the call of duty. Frosty has gone well above and beyond the call of duty. Frosty is more than deserving to have this Steel Cross. Frosty you have earned it, and I will always have your back!
