Tra’an Reith is one of the bastions of Plagueis, befitting his status as di Plagia. During our recent feud with Clan Odan-Urr, Between Light and Dark, Tra’an submitted to six of the eleven events possible and took a solo 8th place in the prologue puzzle. More importantly, however, was bringing his trademark leadership and panache to our first place Battleplan entry, a major contribution to our overall victory. Tra'an will probably be known forever as the battleplan-whisperer in Clan Plagueis, given that his animated, voiced briefings are some of the best battleplan entries one might see anywhere. Tra'an is the one who takes all the disparate pieces of the plan and works them into a synchronized masterpiece.

All told since his last award in August, Tra’an has twent-five competitions and earned for crescents (one diamond, two amethyst, and one emerald). Gaming wise, he’s earned a staggering nine pendants of blood to go along with one hundred and sixty clusters of fire and three hundred and thirty-two clusters of earth. Additionally, as a writer he’s amassed eleven clusters of ice between fiction activities and the ACC battle he completed.

In addition to his personal successes, Tra’an has continued to demonstrate the leadership qualities he cultivated during his time as Quaestor even now that he’s just a regular joe. His guidance was instrumental during the recent feud as Plagueis found itself with a slew of new members who had never experienced a true vendetta-style event before. Tra’an stepped into the role of vendetta sherpa, helping our members through the trials and tribulations of high intensity competition. He’s also been co-organizing the smash hit “Twelve Weeks a Haiku” competition, serving as not only a comp runner but also as it’s biggest cheer leader to the Brotherhood at large.

The other area of Tra'an's leadership is as the ACC sherpa for Clan Plagueis (and elsewhere, more on that later). During the last 8 months, Tra'an has provided his services as a proof reader and adviser for more than 30 individual ACC posts outside of the GMIT. Within that high-stakes tournament, however, Tra'an was a primary proof reader for myself, Kz'set, and even Timeros in Arcona and he proofed 15 of the most dense, high quality posts the ACC has ever seen. I have not doubt, at least personally, that the success of those competitors in the tournament was at least helped along by Tra'an's great stash of ACC wisdom. As an long tenured former member of the ACC staff, Plagueis is lucky to have his assistance in navigating the sometimes treacherous waters of the combat center.

Without his continual presence, activity, and leadership, I can say without a doubt that Plagueis would not be in the strong, healthy position it is today.

Seridan, or Corvus Corax as he now goes, has been a consistent font of activity since his promotion in November. During that period he has participated in an impressive fifty competitions and took home Crescents in seventeen of them. He also wrote over 13000 words of high quality fiction in this relatively short period. His quiet and steadfast support for everything his unit does makes him the kind of member every leader wishes they had. He is often the first to have a entry in unit comps and can be counted on to lead the charge in major events. Most recently he participated in eight of the competitions in our Feud with Plagueis, garnering top three placements in five of those and securing him as the top individual competitor in the entire feud.

On top his stellar activity record he is a thoughtful and stable presence in our community, offering key insight to his peers and leaders. Thanks for everything you do Serdian, you truly are a pillar of our community in COU.

Kryy Vitaan is the kind of Journeyman that every clan wants to have. Many members reach the rank of Knight and, without a firm set of promotions guidelines, seem to stall out activity wise. Kryy, however, is not most members. Since his promotion to Knight two months ago he has been a whirlwind of activity. He submitted to three of the events during our clan feud with Odan-Urr to help contribute to the clan’s victory in that arena. All told in the last two months he has competed in twenty separate competitions and earned a whopping eight crescents (one diamond, one ruby, and three each of amethyst and emerald), giving him a forty percent placement rate in competitions. An avid gamer, he has amassed fifty-five clusters of fire and forty-two clusters of earth while also gaining pendant of blood atop that. Trying his hand at fiction, he has even earned one cluster of ice. His continued presence, zealous nature to succeed, and contributions during Between Light and Dark show him to be very deserving of this award.

Over the six week run time of our recent Between Light and Dark feud with Clan Odan-Urr, Dracaryis Sunstrider once again established himself as one of the best members and leaders the Brotherhood has to offer. Even while serving two demanding masters (as much as we like to think that Plagueis could take precedent, when the United States Army is the other master demanding your time they win!) Dracaryis was an absolute force in our unit, leading from the front so to speak as a competitor in the event as well as the highest ranking leader down in the trenches.

On a personal level, he entered eight of the possible eleven events. In those events, he blew the doors off the place with the excellence of his entries: His first place entry in battleplan (on a team he co-captained with Tra’an Reith) was a masterpiece, a second place entry in week one fiction may have left him confused at winning fiction but happy none the less, and his multimedia wowed the judges on the way to third place. Those top three finishes earned him a crescent each of the diamond, ruby, and sapphire varieties. Outside of this crescent earning finishes he also took another pair of top ten placements, earning points with fourth place in week two gaming and sixth place in week one puzzle. His personal performance during the event was good enough to earn him an overall fifth place finish out of the fifty-eight participants in the feud as a whole.

While not as easy to quantify, his leadership efforts during the event were just as essential, if not moreso, than his individual contributions. To borrow a phrase, it takes a village to win a feud, but it takes an awfully good mayor to lead the village. Dracaryis was that major during the run of the feud. He wrangled his own battleplan and multimedia teams all while helping others form teams of their own to ensure nobody was left out that wanted a chance to compete. He provided help and guidance to the entire unit, many of them experiencing the high intensity of vendetta-style event for the very first time in their Brotherhood careers. Without him to pick up the slack when other members of the Plagueis leadership team were unavailable (as an example, I myself was nearly 100% out of contact for the final week of the competition while away coaching my debate team at nationals), there is no way we would have seen the success we did, and no way that Plagueis could have pulled out a victory.

Dracaryis is one of the finest people I’ve had the privilege to work with, demonstrating a skill for leadership and a competitive zeal not often found in the Brotherhood.
