12 Aug, 2014 Lucyeth was awarded 1 Steel Cross Event ID 110487 Target Lucyeth Award Steel Cross Quantity 1 Requested by Lord Idris Adenn Primary reason Lucyeth continues to amaze as one of our new generation members. He flew through the ranks to DJK and in the last 6 months of being a DJK he continues to show a supreme work ethic, both as a member and more recently as our newest BTL. Over the last six months, Lucyeth has competed in competitions around the club, including the Fading Light Run-on and Voice sponsored Create-an-NPC event. On the house front he participated in all seven events of both of the last two LHC events. His efforts on Antenora, also earned him a second place for the entire event. Lucyeth never falters in his active push, carving out his own big piece of the prestige pie here in the club. Over the last 6 weeks, he has been jumping head first into being an amazing BTL for Acclivis Draco. He has been incredibly responsive in taking his duties as BTL seriously, maintaining contact with his team, working on reports, and leading by example. He quickly picked out a sergeant, and is now gaining the experience of what it is like to work with other people in leading a unit. He has already given serious thought to the fictional identity of Acclivis Draco, and continues to show a strong work ethic in continuing to push it forward. As the LHC Caina came to an end, he even planned out his own BT level event complete with opening fiction and competitions based around the fallout of the LHC. All this just from a request they run some BT focused competitions. Lucyeth really went the extra mile in bringing something incredible to his team. For his incredible work as both a member and blossoming BTL, I recommend Lucyeth be awarded this Steel Cross. Congratulations Lucyeth! Lord Idris Adenn, 2014-08-12 03:28:51 UTC Additional reasons Over the last 6 months since his promotion, Lucyeth has been exceptionally active within the House and Dark Jedi Brotherhood at large, and starting to find himself contributing to the House as well. It is always great when a new leader steps up who thrives in an environment of creative freedom, and handles their role like they had been at it for a while. He is a role model of a member through consistent activity over the past 6 months. In the realm of activity, he has participated in 48 different competitions across the DJB, including many major events representing the House, as well as perfect participation in both the Caina and Antenora phases of the current Looking Home campaign. To improve his writing skills, he also completed his Dark Maven in writing, hopefully to the benefit of the quality in his entries going forward as he represents the Royal House. For all these incredible contributions and activity at the House and DJB wide level, and recently showing interest to start to give back more as a contributor as well and create lasting content that will serve the entire unit, I recommend that Lucyeth be awarded this Steel Cross. He’s quite simply a powerhouse when it comes to fiction, being generally regarded as the best wordsmith we’ve got right now, and he deserves the reputation. Shad’s tireless efforts in both Brotherhood wide, and Taldryan specific competitions ensure that his voice is one of the most widely read in the Dark Brotherhood’s newly tracked and evolving canon, and we’re extremely lucky for it. Shadow’s work extends beyond just his own contributions to fiction though, working as an organizing force for Taldryan’s writers during the Fading Light runon, as well as helping edit and guide many of Taldryan’s budding writers in the ACC. He is not content to just sit back on his laurels of being a great writer, but he shares his expertise with any in Taldryan who ask him. I know many people, including myself, who can point to Shad’s guidance as a great contributor to our own growth. Amassing medal after medal in almost every competition he enters. Few can match his activity, even fewer can match his ability to dominate competition. I know this because for the past month or two, I’ve been trying - desperately, and failing - to keep up with him. Just a quick overlook of his history tab shows crescent after cluster, after crescent flowing into his medal case. Yet it is not Shadow’s drive for whoring prestige, but his contributions to Taldryan as a whole that will forever set him apart. A master of the written word, a fictioneer in full, Shadow constantly has a hand in guiding, aiding, and showing the way for all of those that hold an interest in the finer activities of the Brotherhood. The past few months, Shad has entered in little over 40 Crescent giving competitions - snatching up placements in 80% of them , the testament of his writing prowess to be found in the countless Clusters of Ice he has been awarded - well over 70. Along with this he has supplemented his activity with various trivias, of which he has won his fair share. His tireless work on the Brotherhood’s wikipedia have seen him being awarded two Dark Side Scrolls. Not a man to hoard his talents for himself, Shadow has also been awarded several Scrolls of Foundation for guiding those that need guidance. Perhaps a testimony of “vintage” Obelisk-ness, Shadow has also gotten himself over a hundred Clusters of Fire. In short; Shadow is a role model for Taldryan, if not the Brotherhood as a whole. Not only does he excel at everything he does, he does so while being approachable by those that seek to emulate his success. Shadow, you are a cornerstone of Taldryan, a vital part of the foundation of the Brotherhood, and someone I personally have come to rely on to be a better writer. Whether it be his efforts in his time as Aedile or as a newly “retired” general member, he is full of ideas, passion, and a strong drive to make everything as incredible as they can be. Xantros recently stepped down as Aedile here in HSP, leaving me not only having to find someone to replace his incredible work, but in the position of how I could possibly thank him for his efforts since his most deserved EQ2 promotion at the end of last year. While he would be the first to admit his RL responsibilities were what pulled him away from AED, his efforts in his last six months as AED were still full of the same effort, passion and drive he brought every day since first becoming AED in early 2013. He came up with and began the first set of HSP debates, something I hope to see continued here, as I think they were incredibly fun and insightful into different issues and characters of Star Wars lore. He worked diligently along side myself to bring incredible new experiences to HSP something I never could have achieved by myself. He was always there to lend a voice, thought, radical new ideas, and insight to the house. Since resigning, he hasn’t disappeared as a burn out. He participated in all of the LHC Antenora competitions, along with another three in the LHC Caina. On Antenora he placed in the fiction, battleplan and trivia events and on Caina he placed in the flash game event. I am greatly honored to call Xantros a friend. It was a privilege to work along side him on the HSP summit, and it continues to be a privilege to see him continue on as a powerful member of the DJB. Lord Idris Adenn, 2014-08-12 03:28:59 UTC Additional reasons Xantros, the number of projects he started as Aedile, that I was informed of when I assumed office, makes me wonder if he maybe shouldn’t be evaluated for insanity. His constant drive of ideas and passion to see Scholae Palatinae success was unending. I’m not sure there is really a way to quantify the impact he had on Scholae Palatinae during his time in office, or these past six months as Aedile before the recent transition, but his drive towards the future goals of the House and understanding of his position are something I strive to attain myself during my time in the position. As I try and make sense of all his projects, consulting with him when I manage to catch him on IRC despite his terrible connection to undernet, I want to thank him for all he has done and will continue to do in the future for Scholae Palatinae. As a friend and still fellow Dark Jedi, I hope to continue to see him around in whatever capacity he can manage. On top of his contributions as a leader over the past half year, and recent support in the transition, he still managed to participate in all 7 events of the Looking Home event on Antenora hitting up every single event, and even sending in 3 submission to the most recent Caina campaign.
