Shikyo has served on the Dark Council almost as long as I have been in the club. This is an impressive feat in an era where most of us only last a year or two before needing a break. But what did he do in six years? I think sometimes we forget how spoiled we are in this club. We sometimes take for granted the talent on loan to us from members who just make things happen day-in and day-out. So we get used to it. We begin to feel entitled to hundreds of robe options. We begin to get a little too used to having hundreds of lightsaber options. We even begin to think we are somehow owed hundreds of warbanner choices. We seem to forget where and how these things came to us.

Why do we feel like this? Why do we get annoyed when our custom robes are delayed? Why do we get annoyed when our custom lightsaber is not yet ready? Maybe it is because we are so used to people like Shikyo simply making it happen year after year that we have forgotten to stop and appreciate what we have. It has become common to expect these things and expect them in a timely fashion. How spoiled we are. We enjoy high-quality products and have since developed high-quality expectations. Why?

Because Shikyo has delivered them to us.

Rather than a knock against him, it should be a compliment. In his six years: hundreds of custom robes, hundreds of custom warbanners, over a THOUSAND custom lightsabers. All for us. And all virtually at the touch of a button. We had but to ask and Shikyo answered.

So here today, I would like to return the favor for the first time. I would like to give something to Shikyo rather than take something from him which is what we all usually do. I would like to give him this Sacramental Award, this small token of appreciation that I did not even have to make myself. All I had to do was write a few words and press a button. I am indeed pretty well spoiled by Shikyo and all the other great workhorses in this club who give so much for so little in return.

Shikyo, on behalf of a grateful Brotherhood, please accept this award and thank you for all you have done.

Raken, Deputy Grand Master

Six years... few individuals stay working the same job for this length of time in real life, even fewer stay in a position this long as part of a volunteer Club. Through these years we've seen the selection of Robes and Lightsabers available to members of the Dark Brotherhood steadily increase. Countless Warbanners were designed, not as templates, but for individual members to specifications they chose and submitted to the Herald and his Staff.

In addition to these responsibilities there are the ever present Club wide events always looming on the horizon. Each one sure to be needing Graphics or Multimedia Events to be created and tied into the storyline, followed quickly by dozens of submissions that members have poured their time into which need to be evaluated.

To keep up with these commitments for half the time that Shikyo has is a feat by itself, thank you for the tenacity you've demonstrated as you're completing this marathon run as Herald!

-Valhavoc, Fist of the Brotherhood

Six years. In terms of the Brotherhood that is two or three times the length of time some Characters live for, let alone server honorably in a Council position. It's already been stated by the councilors above what sort of volume of work Shikyo has had to deal with, and even those words may be understating reality. Looking back, I know I was one of those people who lost sight of how much work it all was. I grew to expect a new custom saber as soon as a promotion came through. And despite my naivety, Shikyo still managed to deliver.

Shikyo, you've been a good friend and an even better Herald. It's not going to be the same without you in that office, but I hope I'll still see you on IRC from time to time.

Solari/Windos, Headmaster

A couple of years ago, the record of Longest Serving Dark Council member was held by Kaine Mandaala, with a Herald term of over five years. At that time, such a long term was a grand feat, and it was near unthinkable that anybody would ever come close to it, let alone surpass it. Today, I found out that Shikyo has managed to accomplish the unthinkable: A six-year stretch as Herald. During this time, Shikyo delivered a multitude of custom robes, lightsabers and warbanners in the order of thousands, all of a very high quality. I've done some quick napkin-math, and this comes down to almost one item every day, which is an unbelievable feat, especially considering we're talking about one item every day over a stretch of six years.

Shikyo: Thank you for all your efforts. You've been awesome, we'll miss you. This Diamond Sword is well deserved.

James L. Entar, Seneschal

|o| >o< |o|

I've known for some time that this day was coming, but it doesn't make it any easier. Shikyo has been a constant companion, a consistent voice on the Dark Council for years now. I've trained him as Herald, and walked him up through to become one of the best heralds that the Brotherhood has ever seen. We've worked together to overcome obstacles and challenged each other to become better at what we were doing for as long as I can remember.

That goes back pretty far. Sarin telling me that I needed to find another herald, because he wasn't going to let me say no to Deputy Grand. Then Shikyo having the nerve to step up, and sign up for me to train him on how I do things, as opposed to the old way. It wasn't the easiest thing, to learn literally at my elbow for those months. Then Kaine telling me that his heart wasn't in it any more, and making it easy for me to tell Sarin that Shikyo was ready.

There's this old saying: "When elephants fight, it is the ground that loses." For years now, Shikyo and I have been trading blows, seeing who can come up with the coolest stuff for the DB. But rather than lose, every winter, the DB gets to enjoy some of the results of that ongoing competition. More and more of his work will filter out as certain other projects get completed and coded in.

Lots of people here may recognize his work and understand on some level how much time and energy goes into it. Many people will talk about how LONG he's held down the gig, even through deployments, college courses, career changes, girlfriends and all the other things real life throws at us to distract us from our work here. Some may even snark. But in the end, it's the work that matters.

It's the work that we recognize with medals, with promotions. Today, we honor Shikyo with a Diamond Sword, one of the rarest sacramental weapons in the Brotherhood. Today, we thank him for his six years of service on the Dark Council.

Today is about the work. It's about the 3 am teardowns and starting over from scratch. It's about staring at the list of work and trying not to panic while you develop a plan on how to get it done. It's about working so hard that you have to replace your mouse on a Saturday night. It's about taking the abuse from people that can't do the work and you can. It's about having a great idea, then hating yourself as you try to get it accomplished. It's about deciding you're done, only to get dragged back in by another great idea, the sense of duty and the drive to put more of your work out there. It's about staring at tiny details that no one will ever see in the final graphic, but you have to do it, because you know they're there.

Thank you, Brother. We'll be here when you're ready.

The Diamond Sword is awarded to members of the Dark Brotherhood who have become pillars or institutions within our club. These members have transformed from Elders of Clans and become synonymous with their participation in long term projects or service within a position on the Dark Council. It is this transformation from member to institution that garners Korras my recommendation for the Diamond Sword The name Korras and the position of Master at Arms have become synonymous. Timely, stringent, fair, and hard working describe Korras and his reign on the Dark Council. The Master at Arms is a greatly under-appreciated position with thousands of emails each month relating to the awarding of medals and ranks within our club. Korras has handled this task with an easy going attitude and the ability to mentor our leaders on writing excellent recommendations. For his hard work and dedication I highly recommend Korras for the Diamond Sword!

-GM Pravus, Voice

The role of Master-At-Arms requires one to provide a balanced perspective on members and to make sure that the proper amount of activity reflects the award given to members. This is no easy task when different activities may require more time and energy than others or members have been rewarded for previous tasks. In regards to Korras, his knowledge of the job is without equal and he has been more than helpful to provide his knoweldge to those who seek it. He has been essencial to ensuring MAA policies are enforced and instructing leadership with determining proper rewarding for member activity. For his mentorship and devotion to his work in the Dark Council, I am honored to recommend Korras with a Diamond Sword. Congratulations!

-DA Shikyo Sasuke Keibatsu, Herald of the Dark Brotherhood

Korras. What's there to say about Korras that's not being said already in this recommendation? He's a f***ing badass. I can't say enough great things about him, if I ever need an opinion about things for gamin or in general, he's there. I can't thank him enough for being around when I need him. He and his staff have kept promotion and medal requests to under 24 hours, and has completed several AWOL checks during his time as MAA, a few were he had to do manually. Korras, you're a superhuman as the MAA and I'm happy to recommend you for this. Congrats bud!

~OPM Fremoc Pepoi, Fist of the Brotherhood

Korras was one of the first real friends I had made in this organization. He was always just one step above me... when I was a tetrarch, he was Aedile. When I was Aedile, he was Quaestor. When he was Proconsul, I was Quaestor. It wasn't until after the Order leaders vanished that I caught up to him, and by then, he had decided to go be consul again. He's always been a good friend, helping me through a divorce and helping me see other people's points of view. Even now, he's a bigger expert on awards than I could be. He's always been there to help me make difficult decisions in the running of the club, and last year, when he had told me of impending real life stuff that could drag him away from us, I was pretty depressed about it. He helps drive consistency and standards in the Brotherhood, and catches more than his fair share of abuse because of it. His hand is felt pretty much everywhere in the organization, and I am frankly running out of things to say and awards to lavish on him (and still keep something back so I can bribe him to stay with us). We're going to need more rewards. In the meantime, please accept this Diamond Sword. You've more than earned it.

He's served in a number of positions across the club, from Arcona to Combat Master, to Master at Arms, to Deputy Grand, back to Combat Master, and finally to Taldryan. We've joked about Halc taking a lot of positions, but the reality of it is that he really did work tirelessly to try and make the club a better place. A lot of members don't like him for a number of reasons, many just because it was convenient to hate him, but at the end of the day, his work is what made the difference. He's toiled for many hours, in whatever position he was needed in, and he was always universally available to help the members grow and learn about the many facets of the brotherhood that he had experience with. He's probably not going to be reading this, as he's retired to deal with his real life stuff, but he deserves our thanks. As a token of those thanks, I've awarded him with a Diamond Sword. Well-deserved, Halc. ~Muz Ashen, Dark Lord of the Sith

The Diamond Sword is awarded to members who have given everything they can over a long period of time in service to the Brotherhood. One of the requirements is that the member must have shown leadership abilities over a wide range of positions throughout the Brotherhood. The first thing that I think of when it comes to Halc is his willingness to help out however he can wherever he can. When I was Quaestor of House Dinaari I needed a Battleteam Leader to motivate the newer members and already I had gone through a few BTLs who didn't work out. Despite holding the rank of Dark Jedi Master and being a long serving member of the Brotherhood Halc was willing to take up the job because it needed to be done. What other Elder with as much experience as Halc would be so willing to hold such a meager position like Battleteam Leader? He served in the position for several months doing what he could to help spur activity and get the newbies on their feet. A second, more recent, example comes to mind when Halc became Consul of Taldryan. No one else was willing to do it ... not because they didn't have the energy or the capability of doing so, but because all of us in leadership were too scared to take the reigns of the Brotherhood's most successful Clan (me included). Despite having served in nearly every position the Brotherhood has offered (at least twice) Halc took up the job no one was brave enough to take and did an admirable job holding the Clan together until someone finally worked up the courage to take the lead. In the two years or so that I've known him Halc has always been the steady voice of reason within the Clan's leadership and veterans circle and has volunteered to perform numerous minor (and major) tasks within the Clan to make it better. Just looking through Halc's history outline on his dossier shows the impressive amount of work he's dedicated to the Brotherhood and is solid evidence of why this crafty veteran deserves a Diamond Sword. Congrats, Halc! You most definitely deserve this one. ~ OE Vladet Taldrya Xavier

Sarin has been an outstanding Grand Master. Even with his limited time during his tour of duty in Iraq, he has managed to be online and respond to things as needed which is more then most would do. He has done an amazing job assisting with the rebirth project and helping keep things on schedule as much as can be expected with something as grand as this. I personally have appreciated his counsel and advice in many situations and it is with that that I am proud to recommend him for the Diamond Sword. He is truly a leader and a mentor. ~Ashia Keibatsu, Consul of Naga Sadow.

I was lucky enough to be able to work with Sarin as his Proconsul when he ran Clan Plagueis, and he uses the same awesome level of leadership on the Dark Council as he did in the clan. Working with him as a Consul and now as Headmaster I have a huge amount of respect for the guy. He is in the middle of a warzone, yet still manages to lead the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. Sarin helped create and run, along with others, one of the best Great Jedi Wars ever, and is currently putting together several other awesome new projects for the DB. When it comes to the Shadow Academy, he is always open to new ideas and changes, which makes my job a whole lot easier. I've only been able to work side by side with him on the Dark Council for around three months, but already he has my trust and respect as Grand Master. His first year in the position has been amazing, and I'm sure the coming years will be even better. ~ Sith Warlord Aabsdu di Plagia Dupar; Headmaster of the Brotherhood. ~Aabsdu Dupar, Headmaster

A Diamond Sword is awarded to members of an exceptional caliber within the Dark Brotherhood. The list is few, yet distinguished and honorable. It is my honor to recommend such an award be bestowed on Sarin for his impressive tenure as Grand Master and the changes that have come under his supervision for the betterment of our club as a whole.

While I am sure many people will speak to the notches in Sarin's belt concerning large-scale competitions and groundbreaking advancement... I would prefer to speak about what he has done to maintain the excellence of our club. As some individuals may know, I have my days where I make Sarin go crazy! :-p But he has shown an unnatural amount of patience and guidance not only to me, but the individuals under my command as he answers questions and provides suggestions to stabilize the Brotherhood (through the Clans). His message has been of patience and putting members first... and it has spread throughout the entire Dark Council and seeped deep into the Clan Summits. There is a stronger sense of cross-clan-comradery in the past year and I, for one, can trace it back to Sarin.

Personally, he has been a great mentor. Sarin works with me to overcome my own weaknesses and continually finds time to listen to my long list of ideas about new member development and recruitment for our club. His infinite list of contacts amazes me, but he always seems to have a prior situation to pull experience from and he, in-turn, relays that information to his subordinates in a manner that is both professional and exciting. It is all part of his process for developing future generations of leaders... and a testament to what he has done to reinforce the foundation of his club.

Thank you for everything you do, Sarin! ~Braecen Kaeth, Consul of Plagueis

At the beginning it was hard for me to accept that Sarin was going to be the Grand Master. I was so used to Jac being GM that I couldnt imagine anyone else to be in that spot. Sarin proved me wrong. Very wrong. And I am glad about this.

Sarin's attitude has changed the position of the Grand Master, and also how I look at the Grand Master's position. No, this doesn't mean that I didn't like Jac as Grand Master. ;)

Sarin just changed the position of the GM - adding his own personal touch, making this style to lead very unique - the way he deals with problems, talking to people, even with his reports. I have a huge respect for Sarin: being father of a baby, being in the army and being Grand Master is quite a high performance that deserves a reward. And before I start writing the usual blah blah stuff for writing reccomendations, I simply stop here and say: Well deserved Sarin! ~Sildrin Sadow, Seneschal

I've never been one for long recommendations, so this will probably be short and sweet. However, what Sarin has accomplished during his time as GM has been anything but. I hardly knew him before I became DGM, and it has been a great ride. He has used the "powers" that the GM's office grants him to ensure accountability in all leaders of the DB. That act alone makes his term as GM a successful one. For too long have many people in the DB gotten by with the bare minimum, or had a detrimental affect on their area of responsibility, thereby affecting the rest of the DB as well. This has been a very welcome change, and it takes someone of conviction to get it done. However, he has also been the GM to see 2 successful DB-wide events come to a completion while also helping implemente the numerous changes to the very nature of the DB. He took the job on the Force Powers himself, man-handling the wide-range of new powers, as well as overseeing all aspects of DB growth. The DB has a path, laid out by Sarin, that will help continue our growth. He has more than proven himself as a leader, and this award goes a ways to thanking him for all his efforts. ~Halcyon Rokir, Consul of Taldryan

Many members of the Brotherhood were not familiar with Sarin when he ascended to the Iron Throne, but those of us who knew him were certain he would be successful. What we didn't anticipate was the incredible level of commitment and drive that he would bring along with him. Sarin's greatest talent is his ability to motivate those around him to do their best – personally I have felt energized this past year, with a clarity of drive shared by everyone who interacts with Sarin. This approach has directly led to the great achievements of the past year – and those upcoming changes yet to be revealed. Sarin doesn't approach every problem and tackle it himself, he works up a team and guides it forward, ensuring everyone reaches their maximum potential – but when the situation mandates decisiveness, he steps in and makes the tough choices. The Diamond Sword is a very rare award given to the select few members who have achieved greatness while working for the Brotherhood – I can think of no one else more worthy to carry it. ~Kir Katarn, Justicar

As a newer member on the Dark Council, I've learned time and time again how much dedication it takes to help make this club continue to thrive. However looking at Grand Master Sarin, I cannot even begin to imagine the dedication and sacrifice he has made. While his real life has been hectic, he has continued to keep communication open at all times from everyone no matter rank or position. The work he has put forth has been impressive and has been acknowledged by many of the members. I feel that his dedication to the Brotherhood as a whole should be acknowledged, therefor I recommend Darth Sarin for a Diamond Sword. Congrats, Bossman! ~Shikyo Keibatsu, Herald

I once had the honor of recommending Sarin for an Amethyst Kukri long before he became the Grand Master we know now. At the time I was so impressed with Sarin’s work ethic, knowledge of –and love for– Star Wars, his passion for the club, his clan, and the betterment of everyone, that I asked he be awarded two Kukri instead of one because I believed he deserved them.

Again I am honored to recommend an award for Sarin and from the last time to this, my opinion of him, his work, and his love for the Brotherhood has not changed. One Diamond Sword? No. Give him two. If we are really to attempt to equal his achievements and sacrifices for the club, give him two of the finest phrik and diamond blades the Herald can produce. But it would only be an attempt.

There is no award for everything he has done for the Brotherhood because the thousand things Sarin has turned his hand to are worth more to us than sundry bits of metal or jewel-crusted trinkets. His works have given us concrete and well-developed fictions supporting our mythology. His deeds have organized for us the two most successful vendettas the Brotherhood has ever seen. Sarin’s sacrifices have enabled us so that we can continue to develop projects and systems ensuring this club will not go the way of so many others.

So how do we thank one for giving so much? How do we attempt to reward someone whose true repayment for his actions are those actions themselves? What do you give Sarin, the Grand Master of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, soldier and friend, when the work is the reward?

We give him our thanks. We give him our patience and forgiveness. We give him a few words recommending an award that will never equal that which earned it.

And we ask for two. ~Raken, Praetor to the Grandmaster

I am truly at a loss for words to describe the words that are needed here. Sarin has been a mitigating presence on every project that has been brainstormed, carried to completion, or that we are working on right now. He encourages the very best in all of us, even as we find our motivation dwindling. He spurs us on to give this club everything we can, to work together, and to see past the petty little politics that can drown such an entity like we have here. Many have lauded the fact that Sarin is a Captain in the U.S. Army, but I can only marvel at the personality traits that got him that job, and wonder how long it is before we see him giving news briefings with several stars on his shoulder.

Sarin's Devotion to this club is humbling. Even as his real life and career demand intense amounts of his time, he will forego sleep and even communicating with his family in order to sort things out here, to act as Grand Master. It's more than what anyone expected, it's more than what any of us could even think to ask of anyone. There is but a handful of members who have ever been in this club who have shown such persistence in excellence, such dedication to what we are and what we stand for, that it surprises me that Sarin does not already have every medal we have the ability to award.

But today, we will begin to remedy that. Sarin, I have the distinct honor of presenting you this Diamond Sword. It is a token of our esteem, our appreciation, our heartfelt thanks for all that you have done for this club that we all love. Thank you. ~Muz Sadow, Deputy Grand Master

Muz Keibatsu Sadow is with out a doubt one of the most impressive members in Dark Brotherhood history. His dedication and service to the Dark Brotherhood goes above and beyond the standard and he continually impresses all those who work with and and all of those who benefit from his work. If you take quick stock of Muz's resume you will find the following. - Lightsabers. Check. Robes. Check. Warbanners. Check. Graphics for Websites. Check. Custom Variations of all of those previously mentioned. Check.- Muz is one of those individuals who has the ability to impact the Dark Brotherhood immediately with his work and his work never fails to impress. Muz, for your hard work, your dedication, and your service to the Dark Brotherhood, I award you the Diamond Sword. You have certainly earned it. -----Grand Master Sarin

Without a doubt, Muz Keibatsu Sadow is one of the finest Brotherhood members to have graced our presence. I am confident that Muz deserves to join the fine line of members who hold a Diamond Sword.

Muz has been one of the most energetic, fast-paced and
project-oriented Heralds I have ever seen. His work is remarkable and his innovation has no match. His office has not only continued to serve in creating the customary warbanners for members, but it has expanded to a more particular custom lightsaber and robe system. The
lightsabers that Muz has created: I lost count after a few hundred. He has allowed for the Brotherhood members to have unprecedented flexibility in choosing a style to match their character. The same goes for the robes: Muz has created so many that it is easy for members now to customize the look of their persona. On top of it all,
Muz creates so many custom lightsabers and robes; the Equites and Elders are truly blessed to have that option. This was not possible but a year ago: Muz has really changed the face of the Brotherhood.

The most impressive thing about Muz is his desire to do more. He has worked on the different lightsaber and combat guides, worked on the medals, designed new images for the website and helped the clans with
various graphic projects. The new lightsabers and robes are a great addition to the Brotherhood and I know Muz has been the major force behind the expanding options. In working with Muz, I've found someone that I can get along and work well with, and this helps the Dark Council function better. Muz is great for bouncing ideas off of, and he's someone I've enjoyed working with whenever the opportunity has arisen. Since he is the Herald and I'm the Headmaster, our respective jobs don't cross that much. But, we are both working towards the same goal: the betterment of the Brotherhood. And I see in Muz a dedicated, talented person working towards that goal, not always in trying to make things run better or more efficiently (though he does that), but in making the Brotherhood much more awesome.~DJM Anshar Kahn Tarentae

Since I first joined the Brotherhood, Muz has been a constant help with many of the aspects of the Brotherhood. There has been a few times where I have come to him for guidance and have found his advice to be extremely helpful. Could it not also be leadership demonstrated to one’s Battleteam, House, Clan, and Club counted not in months, but years?

If one really desires the answers to these questions, he need only ask Muz Keibatsu Sadow.

When I look at Muz’s dossier, I see there but a hint of what he has done for this club. At once I am awed by his devotion and shamed by it. I wish to emulate it. The competitor in me wants to surpass it. The man in me simply admires it. The leader in me seeks to reward it. The student in me wants to learn from it.

What is the mark of one’s achievement in the things he has turned his hands to? Look around you and see it for yourself.----Raken, Left Hand of Justice – Praetor to the Grand Master

This will probably be repeated by a number of others, but the amount of work Muz does for this club is ind-boggling. Even though he's re-done all of the robe and lightsaber stuff, he continually works at adding more and more for the members, far beyond anything we ever had.
We have choice because of him. This does not exclude the custom work he does for members, as well as the warbanners he still has a hand in. However, his real work now comes from projects we haven't seen. Any
graphical work that is needed for this club goes through him. We need things designed for future competitions? Muz does them. New medal images are needed? Go to Muz.

He isn't just a "graphics" guy, but is also an accomplished writer in his own right and continues to help out other areas of the DB in varying degrees. The sheer amount of work however can never be overstated. While people may say this or that about how things look
and complain about not getting this or that, there is only a handful of people who have put in the same amount of hard work and dedication into this club. Try going out into the real world and see how much this work would cost you should you hire someone. Then remember that
this is all done for free during his off-hours. This award is a very rare honour, but it is rare to find someone of his calibre. Well done, Muz!----DJM Halcyon Rokir

Muz is, well, Muz is what I think a lot of members in this club look upto, and 'aspire' to become. Muz kicks ass in anything he does, be it leading a Battleteam, House or serving as Proconsul, all the way to Herald of the Brotherhood. Muz just has that way with people, he's a
natural leader, and just blows everyone else out of the water.

Since becoming Herald, Muz has totally re-invented the way Warbanners, Sabres, and Robes work in the Brotherhood. I distinctly remember rather ugly robes we had not too long ago, gray and green. I guess in hindsight, they weren't even that bad, it's just Muz's robes are so far superior. The sabres we have now don't even
begin to compete with what I first had when I was Knight'ed. And the Warbanners, they are just awesome.

As Muz completes his first year as Herald, I think it's high time he be recognized for the substantial ammount of work he's done for this Brotherhood. So Muz, congratz on this, and I hope you continue to serve us for a long, long time! ----SBM Derev Niroth

I was chatting with one of our Jedi Hunters a few days ago about who is working for DJK, telling him about when I was JH and remembering the horrendous looking plasticy green and grey robes I used to have
that were one of my big motivators for getting Knighted to get rid of the things, which were then replaced with black plasticy looking robes.

A year and a bit on, you can see how much work has come out of the Heralds office, they've improved massively, as have the warbanners and
the lightsabers. For some people these things don't matter, they just really care about gaming or chatting, but to the rest of us who've gone through dozens of robe and lightsaber changes as new designs have come out, it genuinely adds quality and a bit of fun to a members
dossier. From the original sketches posted in his reports, Muz and his staff have produced a vast array of new robes and sabers for people to choose from, all vastly different styles to suit members tastes, as well as the training sabers for journeymen. I can't draw to save my
life, but I can still try and get an idea of how much work and imagination has gone into improving this area of the Brotherhood.

For all the work he's done since becoming Herald offering fun and impressive looking stuff for members to choose to put on their dossiers, for the training saber concept and artwork, and for the site layouts produced, Muz definitely deserves the recognition.----Malisane de Ath

Muz, that one name out of all the thousands entered into the rolls of our hallowed tradition is synonymous with greatness. Since his ascension to the post of Herald we have seen a myriad of works issue forth from his office, but it is not the quantity of his deeds that astounds us most, it is the quality. No matter the project it is completed with the same levels of professionalism and excellence that we have come to expect from the Office of the Herald.

But it is not for these reasons alone that we honor the man. We honor him because he is truly great in thought, in word, and in deed he places his battle-brothers before himself. He is gracious in defeat (has he ever been defeated?) and humble in victory. Fatherly to the newest among us and a brother to those that have served beside him. For all of these reasons do we honor the man Muzashi Daraku Keibatsu-Sadow.

Krath Epis Shin'ichi Endymiron Keibatsu

Muz has been one awesome Herald if I do say so myself. Over the past year now he's done more than I personally have seen from any Herald. He's made a wonderful and comprehensive robe system for the Brotherhood. On top of that he has custom robes for many, with new additions regularly. He's made an even better lightsaber system with all kinds of marvelous designs, plus many, many custom jobs for people. We've seen redone medals, work for the Great Jedi War, and much more from Muz over the past year. It's been a long time since he's seen a major award, about time for another. Congratulations Muz, well done!-- Duga Taldrya Arkarso

Hello,

There are few in this organization who do as much as Kaiann Yetaru Entar. I see all that he does, and it's time to let him know that we all appreciate it.

Kaiann has been at the position of Lord Hegemon fince it was created ten months ago. In that time, he has displayed an initiative that is like no other. Kaiann sees a problem and goes after it. When there is something that needs to be done, he does it and does it well. That is the quality I look for most in any aspiring Dark Council member -- initiative.

Kaiann's work on the RPG project has been immaculate. He has, largely on his own, designed a system that is going to play a huge role in the future of the Dark Brotherhood. What has impressed me is his in-depth knowledge of it all. He knows the system in and out and has been steadily moving his thoughts and ideas into documents for the rest of us. Some of you may not know the extent of Kaiann's dedication; almost a month ago, he spent a day meeting with CG and Jam3z in real life to go over details of the website functions for the RPG. That is the type of activity that gets us places.

This is all without even mentioning the Independance Games. I didn't award Kaiann immediately following that event because I knew about this plan -- but he does deserve a lot of credit for those games. Like them or not, the IGs are a gigantic task that takes hours and hours of work from Kaiann. He did a great job on them this year and deserves praise for that.

Personally, I like that Kaiann is reliable. I can send him something to do with the confidence that it will be done. Sure, we disagree on a lot -- but that doesn't stand in the way of the fact that we are able to work well together. Kaiann has an intense drive to see things done right and that is something that we can all learn from.

Kaiann, today we honor you by giving you your very own Diamond Sword. Congratulations, and thanks.

I have saved this award as one of the last because Pyralis has had a very big influence on me personally. He and I have a working relationship and friendship that are unique in many ways.

Pyralis has perhaps the strongest sense of professionalism that I have ever witnessed int he DB. His work is untouchable by most; the time that he puts into writing, editing and formatting all of his work makes for a truly unique outcome. Over the summer, Pyralis and I have been passing documents back and forth through email and we have developed quite a system. He started with the Proposals course, moved to working on the decrees, and is working on the Alacrity. That is outside of his duties in managing the ICTE -- I'm sure you've all seen the work that he's put into that.

It's hard to explain why Pyr and I work so well together, but I can very well guarantee that without his emails, IRC chats and prodding, there would be a lot less to show for this summer. Pyralis knows how I work and knows where to go with projects. What I like most is his uncanny question: "What's Next?" Every time that something is finished, Pyralis is looking for instructions on the next job. It works perfectly with the way I work as GM, since I finish one thing and then immediately move onto the next item waiting in queue.

As an adviser, Pyralis imparts wise opinions. I think I like it because we agree on a lot, develop the idea, and then give it to others for the different angle. We expound on what the other is thinking. Truly, Pyralis and I have found that we agree on 95% of things.

Pyralis is humble as well. He puts my name on some documents, even though he knows very well that he wrote the majority and I just edited and put in opinions. Pyralis would probably even think he doesn't deserve recognition, but I could not let my flooding of the news page go by without recognizing him.

I think the DB is blessed to have Pyr around -- he is one of the driving members of this club and I hope that we can continue our productivity for a long while. Most of all though, Pyralis is a good friend to all that know him.

For all that he does, I hereby award Pyralis with his very own Diamond Sword.

Congrats, - Lord Jac Cotelin

As written by Kaine:

The membership of the Dark Brotherhood gathered in the Audience Chamber of the Great Hall. The Dark Council were found in their raised seats - while Kaine Mandaala's chair was vacant as usual. A few members glanced to Kaine's spot, hoping to catch the holoprojector flicker itself on. The murmur of casual conversation was suddenly silenced as the doors to the Chamber opened.

A lone hooded figure stood in the doorway. Power radiated throughout the room. He walked slowly to the dias, his heels clicking along the stone floor. Approaching the platform, the figure did not kneel. Jac nodded to him, and the man bowed slightly. He removed his hood and gasps could be heard echoing through the Chamber - Kaine Mandaala had come to Antei!

He took a deep breath and addressed the gathering of Dark Jedi.

"I come before you with a quite serious announcement.

I have just been informed by Mejas that he is going to step down as my Praetor. Much like I am the longest serving DC member, he is by far the longest serving Praetor. He has been at my side since about two months after he was removed as Headmaster by Astatine. It was quite proven that the former DGM had something against Mejas personally and skewed most of the DC against him. I knew there was something wrong with his removal/resignation, stuck by my guns and hired him on as Praetor.

I was right. Even when a majority was against him he prevailed with undying loyalty not only to the Herald office but to the Brotherhood as a whole. He did not hide away after being kicked down - he remained and tried his best to better the club. After some encouragement he was trusted by others to lead again, and eventually appointed to leading Clan Arcona where he had a very successful run of activity.

Sadly, his obligations are taking him from us, but for his constant and consistent loyalty to the Brotherhood I asked that he be awarded with the Diamond Sword. Congratulations Mejas Doto, my friend, for it has been approved.”

Corran Force has been the example of sacrifice for this club. He has paid out of his own pocket for the DB to have a website for the last three years. Without his investment in this club, we would not be here. His help is appreciated more than he could know. - Jac
