Event History

Vodo is one of the most important members of the Clan, a veteran Taldrya who is always lending his insight or knowledge to a topic. I know without a doubt if I have a question about something, whether it be Clan, Brotherhood, Star Wars, or even real world topics. He is an invaluable resource for that alone, but that doesn’t even consider his activity output. In GJW XVII he earned the Clan 529 points, almost ⅙ of our total and catapulting us to third place. He was our second highest points scorer!

It is difficult to put into words just how grateful I am for everything Zentru'la has done during his time as Praetor to the Voice. Over the course of our work together, he became far more than an assistant—he became my right hand, a trusted advisor, and someone I could depend on without hesitation. No matter how ambitious, complicated, or unconventional one of my ideas happened to be, I knew I could count on Zen to help refine it, challenge it, and ultimately make it better.

Throughout his tenure, Zentru'la played an instrumental role in shaping many of the Brotherhood's fictional systems and projects. From tackling an endless stream of development work, to managing the ever-active fiction approval queues, to contributing within the Story Group, he consistently approached every task with professionalism, dedication, and an unwavering willingness to help. Much of what was accomplished over the last several years simply would not have been possible without his efforts behind the scenes.

What I appreciated most, however, was that Zen was never afraid to challenge me when it mattered. He wasn't someone who simply nodded along with every idea I had. When I became too ambitious, overlooked an issue, or wandered a little too far into the weeds, he was the person willing to tell me so. That honesty, combined with his insight and judgment, made him an invaluable partner. Every leader needs someone they trust to offer candid feedback, and I was fortunate enough to have that in Zen.

There was never a project too large, a queue too busy, or a request too inconvenient for him to lend a hand. Time and again, he proved to be someone I could rely on, regardless of the challenge before us. His commitment, work ethic, and genuine investment in the Brotherhood have left a lasting impact on both the organization and on me personally.

Zen, thank you for everything you have done. It has been an absolute privilege to work alongside you, and the Brotherhood is better because of your dedication, your wisdom, and the countless hours you have devoted to helping it succeed.

Nobilus is one of the first members of Clan Taldryan that made me feel welcome and he continued to do that as I came on to the Summit as a Magistrate. When we eventually swapped positions and he moved into the Magistrate role, he worked behind the scenes to try and assess where our Wiki pages needed to be updated. Unfortunately RL circumstances forced him to step away, but I’m still grateful for the work he did when he was able.

Jazzy has been quietly busy since her last award. She entered 20 competitions (28 once you count containers), with a clear appetite for timed events, which made up 14 of her entries. Her fiction work came to 13,279 words, spread across 1 regular fiction piece and 15 roleplaying sessions as a participant, earning her 30 Clusters of Ice along the way. Where she really shone was quality: her 11 Crescents mean she placed in a remarkable 55 percent of her entries, a strike rate most members would envy. She also climbed 2 ranks in the Envoy Corps, picked up a Seal of Loyalty, and brought home 155,990 credits for Clan Arcona.

Jazzy contributed to the Arconan war effort despite competing priorities, participating in three events and contributing 11 points to Arcona's total.

Jazzy rocks. She gets the job done with a minimum of fuss or fanfare and just keeps producing high-quality results, and not for personal accolades, but because it just needs to be done. Furthermore, a mention must be made for her level of skill. As Wuntila has noted, whatever she shoots for, she seems to hit with unerring efficacy - she just owns everything. It’s definitely high time we recognised Jazzy’s outstanding contributions to Clan Arcona and the Brotherhood as a whole. Well done.

Jon (Sashar) has been a stalwart of this club since before I had hair on my chin. And that was a loooong while ago. Again and again, Jon has gone above and beyond for both the Clan and the Brotherhood, and I am delighted to be recommending him for another sacramental, this time the Sapphire Blade.

His recent tenure as Aedile has been excellent. He has been a wonderful ying to my yang, offering counsel, advice, and support. He prepared a Galeres pulse survey to determine the wants and needs of the House within his first week in office, alongside submitting a seemingly extensive proposal on Arcona’s military Order of Battle.

Jon has been integral in his leadership throughout the GJW XVII: Animus, encouraging members, proofing fictions and offering counsel and support to all members. He has mobilised a number of people from the annals of history to contribute to the war, and has taken an active role in many of the competitions on offer.

Jon’s performance in the GJW XVII: Animus was strong, bringing in 132.81 points for Arcona’s point total. He achieved 7th place in the Event Long Audiobook competition (and frankly stole the show), and 6th place in the Event Long Small Team RP. His activity and delivery through the war was excellent, submitting to 14 total events across the period of the event. But that’s not the extent of Jon’s performance…

Jon's activity since his last reward tells the story of a man who decided to eat the Shadow Academy whole. He passed an impressive 21 courses and picked up 5 degrees along the way, racking up 6 society rank-ups, 3 of them in the Aurora Collegium of Sciences alone. That's less a study habit, and more an addiction. And the less said about the summit’s emails on that one, the better… On top of the academics, he entered 16 competitions (19 once you count containers), spreading himself across manual, timed, fiction, graphics and gaming events rather than settling into one lane. His 5 Crescents mean he placed in around 31% of his entries, a strong return given how varied his submissions were, and a Crescent with Diamond Star sitting at the top of that pile is nothing to sniff at. His fiction output was 2,467 words across 3 regular fiction pieces and 2 roleplaying sessions, netting him 7 Clusters of Ice, while his 6 gaming activities added 30 Clusters of Fire, with 16 Clusters of Graphite rounding out the set. He brought home 232,550 credits for Clan Arcona while he was at it.

I want to take this opportunity to thank Jon for both his service and his counsel. He has been central to my role in Arcona, and for that I owe him a priceless debt. A Sapphire Blade will hopefully suffice for the time being.

Kord has been a cornerstone of Arcona for many years. Since his last sacramental award, Kord has been busy, participating in a total of 78 competitions earning 26 crescents in varying forms. He has been active in gaming, participating in 10 gaming competitions and securing a number of Clusters of Fire; in fiction, securing 3 Clusters of Ice (for his participation in RP-related activities); and, in graphics, earning 8 Clusters of Graphite.

His most recent accolades were in the GJWVII: Animus, in which he secured 137.41 points for Clan Arcona, demonstrating his puzzling prowess through his 10th place in the Phase I puzzle competition (earning him a Quartz Crescent), and 4th in the Event Long puzzle competition (for which he earned a Diamond Crescent). In addition, Kord was an active and willing member of the Clan, offering encouragement and remaining heavily engaged throughout the event.

I have enjoyed Kord’s support masquerading as dry wit in my time as Quaestor of House Galeres, and look forward to his continued contribution to the Clan in the weeks and months to come.

Since his last award, Mirus has been an active member of the clan, participating in 18 competitions, securing two Crescents for his activity. He has also been the beneficiary of 8 Clusters of Graphite, and a Cluster of Ice for his RP activity. He has been active in the Shadow Academy, passing 5 courses and securing 3 degrees (quite the pupil), and has continued to move up in a variety of Societies.

Mirus was a contributor to Clan Arcona’s GJWVII: Animus win, contributing 42.196 Points towards the Clan’s total. During this event, he achieved 7th place in the Phase I War Intel competition.

Mirus is a fairly recent returnee following a short hiatus from the club. In his short time back, he has been active, friendly, and willing to contribute. Mirus is another exemplary member of our club, quiet and kind, but with a keen sense of humour once you get to know him. This rubs off on the other members (don’t say anything), and through this Mirus certainly contributed more to the Clan’s GJWXVII: Animus win than the points we have already covered.
